Jimin's been having insomnia since his mother died when he was giving birth to jimin, it wasn't that severe, until his brother died of cancer and his father died because of driving while he was drunk.
Every night jimin would blankly stare at the ceiling while trying to sleep, his insomnia worsened when he thought he was the cause of his familys' death, he thought that his mother died because of him, if only she didn't give birth to him, his brother died because he thought he didn't take care of him much, his father died because ever since his mother and brother died he started to drink and started to balme jimin for everyone's death.
"You worthless piece of junk! My wife wouldn't have died if you weren't born!"
"My eldest son would be alive if you took care of him properly!"
"It's your fault!"
"You killed everyone! Your a murderer! You should just die!"
Jimin was so afraid to sleep because then he would remember all those stuff his father said to him, he would remember the way his brother smiled weakly at him before he died, jimin was terried of sleeping, all those visions would come rushing back to him. The way his brother smiled widely when they both play in their backyard, the way his father would take the two of them to an adventure inside the house, the way all three of them would laugh out louded after playing. All of the visions of him and his family would come rushing back once he closes his eyes and he didn't want to feel even more guilty than he already is, he would quickly wake up anyways even if he tried to sleep.
Jimin tried taking in his father's advice, killing himself.
But did he forget to mention that there was this mint haired boy who was always there by his side even if he doesn't pay attention to the latter? He probably did.
Min yoongi, to be honest, he's the only person to ever care about jimin, but jimin was too blinded by the past that he doesn't even realize that there was actually someone willing to sacrifice theirselves for a loner, like jimin.
Being with jimin meant turning their backs on everyone else since jimin was known to be the school's "emo freak" that everyone gives weird glances every now and then.
Yoongi didn't mind people thinking negatively about him, he just wanted to see jimin smile for once, he never saw him smile, even once. He knows jimin can smile! Everyone can smile.
He moved in with jimin without asking jimin but the black haired boy couldn't care less about what yoongi does.
When yoongi's asleep jimin was awake, sometimes he would scream and that would wake yoongi up. Yoongi would usually get mad when he gets woken up but for jimin, yoongi is different when it comes to jimin.
He would hug the younger while rocking him back and forth and saying words like, "it'll be alright." "I'm here for you, hyung's here for you." And all those, he would kiss jimin's head as he said those words.
One night, when jimin decided to get a glass of water since he couldn't sleep and was already tired of crying, he went back to the room and saw yoongi peacefully sleeping on his side of the bed. His chest going up and down and you could hear his soft snores (which was adorable by the way).
"Jimin-ah. Please. I'm here for you." Yoongi stirred in his sleep, he was dreaming of jimin. This made the black haired male look back at the times where yoongi tried to calm him down, the nights where yoongi comforted jimin instead of sleeping. Jimin was overwhelmed, he just realized how much the older cared for him.
He went back to bed and for the first time in forever, he actually closed his eyes and fell asleep.
Yoongi cured jimin's insomnia.
Yoongi cured jimin.
He was no longer insomniac.
