As I bring in the last box into our new apartment in San Diego, California, I take a look at Michael, finding him smiling. "What?" I ask, I slight blush creeping across my freckled nose and cheek bones. "I can't believe I'm finally living with my best friend." Said Michael, a wide dorky smile plastered on his face. My smile, however, faltered realising that he'd friend zoned me. "Oh... me too." I said, throwing a sad smile at him. "What's wrong Trev?" "I'm hungry..." I whispered, giving to the fact that if I speak any louder I'll start to cry. I walk to the kitchen, when sudden realisation washed over me. No food. I grab my long bored from one of my duffle bags and open the door. "I'm going to grab a burger, you coming?.." I softly ask, looking down. "Of course." We grab our keys and our wallets and head out.

"Welcome to In-N- Out, may I take your order?" I look at the cashier guy and see his face light up. His eyes seem to have gotten a slight sparkle, If that makes any sense at all. "I'll have a double-double with extra cheese , some French fries and a strawberry milkshake please." "Of course, and for you sir?" He turns to look at me, giving me a slight smile. "If its no trouble I'll have the four by four with onions, some fries and a chocolate milkshake." "Alright that'll be 17.32." I take out my wallet digging for some cash. "It's alright, forget the cash. It's on me." Says the cashier. I look up to see that he's writing down something on a cup. He makes our shakes and tops them with whipped cream. I see a phone number written across the logo. "I'm gay. Call me." I look at the guys hazel eyes. "I'm trans.." "you're still a guy." The corners of my mouth sheepishly curl upwards. "O-okay..." I stutter. "Thank you..." I say, my face burning. I turn to see Michael having an annoyed look on his face. (As I'm writing this scene, girls/girls/boys decided to play. Just thought I'd share that) "Can we just get our damn fucking food already?" I slightly gasp at Michael's small outburst. "Michael?.. what the hell dude?" I ask. He shrugs in response and turns around and leaves. I turn around and look at the boy. "I'm sorry about him.. I don't know what's gotten into him." "It's fine. You could've told me he liked you before I started flirting you know." He laughed. My face began to feel hot again. Michael? Likes me? As if. "He doesn't... we're just friends.." "Oh, I'm sure you are." He gave us our bags and threw a small wink in my direction. Michael gripped my wrist and pulled me out of the restaurant.

"Michael, what the hell du-" "Don't talk about it. Don't." He sternly said. He began to walk home without me. Home... I let out a small laugh and skated to catch up with him. "Michael. Michael. Michael! Micha-" "What! What do you want! Everyday you just don't stop! Attention attention ATTENTION! All of my attention goes to you! What do you want! We moved in together not that long ago! You've got issues sure, what about me!? Maybe I need someone to listen to me! You don't know the half of it Trina!" My breathing stopped. My eyes widened as tears began to build up. I suddenly felt smaller. I felt like an outcast. Trina. I'll always be Trina to everyone. "What. What Trina." I began to shake and I tightly closed my eyes, turning my head. "It's. Not. Trina." His gaze softened when he met my eyes. "Tri- I mean Tre-" "I've never asked for anything Michael! I only wanted you to listen! That's it! You're so.. so.. narcissistic!" "Me! I'm narcissistic?! The fucking nerve you've got Trina Hemmings!" "Stop fucking calling me that!" I screamed. Punching him in the chest multiple times. "Don't. Fucking. Touch me!" He screams, shoving me to the ground. I slip on my skateboard and fall on my back, bashing my head on the sidewalk. How? I don't know. "Trev... I-" I get up and run. I run and run. I don't look back. Even when I hear my name being called and footsteps being heard far behind me I don't stop. I just keep running.
