Salaam! New book of mine. Hope you like it! :)
Life is horrible. Yes, horrible and cruel. Just when you think you got it all, everything goes wrong.
Like one morning, you wake up all happy and craving for pancakes. Kiss your parents good bye. Get ready and go to school only to be called to the principals office and be told your parents got into a nasty accident and died.
Yes, just like that.
I know its not right of me to take it that way. I mean, this life is all a test of your faith in Allah and so you don't need to worry and believe in destiny.
That was exactly how I spent the past one month. Hoping for Allahs guidance if i wasn't crying and cradling my mothers favourite vase or my fathers baseball bat. They were my parents for Allahs sake! Mourning was obligatory.
Aliyaa spent all her time trying to cheer me up. What a best friend she was, I chuckled. The best of the best.
And now, I have to leave her and my life in Qatar to start a new life at a town I
have never been to before. My Aunt, Zahra thought a new beginning could be great. After all, my parents death made me devastated.
I agreed for a new beginning. Moving on after what happened. But her own definition of moving on included me moving in with her in a non-islamic town far away from here.
It was like leaving my whole life. I couldn't Say no and went on. I knew it was better for me and prayed for Allah for guidance.
The most painful part was when I said goodbye to my best friend Aliyaa. I felt my heart reap for a second.
I sighed, leaning closer to the car window and watched as the rain dropped one by one, the houses fading as we passed them
It was too late now to turn back and go back home for we were nearing the driveway of my new home.
I muttered a quick *dua hoping this wasn't one of my huge mistakes.
I mean, what could go wrong?
