Chapter Two - "Unpacked "
Salaam fellas. Liking the story? Great!
I just wanted to let you guys know that this isn't a book of criticism. Just because its islamic based doesn't mean you can't read it if you are a non - muslim. Islam doesn't criticise other religion and so does this book. I hope you enjoy the book though. Buh-bye!!Finally, *Alhamdulillaah!
That was the last box I needed to unpack.
It has been two days now that I moved in with my Aunt and Uncle. Sadly, they had no kids to hang out with so I spent most of my time unpacking, praying for my parents, eating and watching tv. Thanks Allah, I haven't been mourning that much.
Although there are a few reminders of them around the house, I try not to cry over them that much.
I sighed, plopping down my bed. It was really tiring to unpack.
"Ahlam!" Aunt Zahra yelled my name, "*Ya Allah come down, I have something for you."
"Okay, be right down!"
I quickly stood up and fixed my dress. No need to wear my hijab since i'm home and the people around are all my *mahrems consisting of Aunt Zahra and the house maid Sarah.
I hurried down the stairs and met her in the kitchen.
"Guess what?" She chirped, cleaning her floury hands with a towel, "We're going shopping!"
I beamed at her "Really? That would be fun!"
"Yeah, I thought so." She smiled, "Since you moved in, you haven't been outside and I wanted you to know Corton city more. So *Yallah get ready"
I nodded and headed to my room. I really do want to step out of home and inhale the fresh air outside, feeling the breeze his my face.
Usually, Aliyaa and I go on a walk around our neighborhood with ice-cream cones in hand.
Speaking of Aliyaa, I haven't heard from her for a while.
I made a mental note of calling her after we come back from shopping.
I changed into something more appropriate then proceeded in tying my scarf. Securing the pin of the hijab, I gave myself one last look in the mirror.
I made my way down feeling satisfied.

"So," Aunt Zahra dragged the 'o' longer than usual, "How are you feeling?"
I shrugged, "I am starting to get over it, I guess."
"Well death is something we should be able to cope with as it comes to take away the people closest to us" she spoke.
I nodded as the brim of my eyes welled up with tears. I quickly drove them back leaned into my seat, looking out the car window.
Sensing my change of mood, she changed the subject, "By the way, you're resuming school tomorrow. Everything is ready."
My eyes widened. Oh my Allah, I forgot all about school. Thinking about it made my stomach churn.
I'm not a type who likes to change environments and the school being non - islamic is not helping. I have never attended such schools so i don't know how they'll take me.
I just hope and pray i'll be treated well and at least have a friend. Aameen.
