What is the truth
Behind the brave smile
I put on my face?
The truth is behind
This smile is a
Broken heart.
A heart that has
Witnessed death more times
Than it could count
People leaving it
Behind when it needed
Them the most
Falling in love
Just to get hurt
By rejection or
The sad truth that
They will never be
More than friends
Having to put on
A brave face for
Everyone else but
No one will have the
Same courtesy
Tortured all its
Life by bullies,
Insecurities, and thoughts
That could hurt
Anyone
Nobody hears it screams
HELP
Nobody is there to listen
Cause they don't want
To listen
All the people who
Actually cared it pushed away
It can't take no more pain
That's the sad
Truth behind the
Brave smile
