Taylor's POV
I returned from Los Angeles in about 7.30 am early in the morning. Evelyn called me last night and said that Olivia escaped from the house. I was really shocked and all my body was shaking when I heard that news. Olivia never escape herself from the house ever since I adopt her and she's afraid of wild world outside my house door. She's nice and spoiled.
I stormed into the house and yell, 'Evelyn Jane!'
She was hiding in the curtain and slowly revealing her face.
"Oh, hi, you're back in the nick of time." she says, edgily. I sat on the couch and cross legged.
"Where's Olivia Benson Swift." I say, trying my best to hold my voice.
"She escaped." She says, calmly.
"Yes, I know. But how?" I ask with a serious face.
"When you're away, I spent my day watching movies and I forgot to feed 'the ladies'. Thus, I don't know how to cook. So, I ordered pizza on the phone. As my pizza arrive, I opened the door and Olivia escaped." She replies short and showing me an innocent face.
I sigh, disenchanted. It wasn't her fault actually. I should not leave her alone without any adult in the house. I know, I'm not a good mom.
"Where's Meredith?" I ask, frowning.
"She's okay and sleeping on the couch." She says and I release a sigh of relief.
"Now, let's go find Olivia." I say, placidly.
"Yea, but where" She asks with an annoying face.
Olivia never been to nowhere except my house. When I was on tour I just left her in my room watching direct now on TV with Meredith. She will never go too far.
I smile and say, "Backyard!"
At the backyard
Evelyn's POV
I never see Taylor's worried face before. I thought she gonna kill me after I told her that Olivia escaped. Cat lady will do unexpected things just for their adorable cats. I was walking back and forth at the backyard and Taylor was meowing around. Perhaps trying to catch Olivia's attention. This really taking a lot out of me and we hunted high and low but did not found her.
"Olivia, where are you?" Taylor says out loud.
After searching for an hour, we finally surrender. Suddenly, Taylor burst into tears. Gosh, what do I do now? It was my fault. I'm a troublemaker. Is she going to write another 'I knew you where trouble' song? I try to calm her down but she gives me the cold shoulder. I was at loss.
Out of the blue, I got an idea. Olivia left the house because she was starving and the cure is a bunch of cat food. I gone myself into the house to get some cat food. After that, I go back to the backyard with a big pack of cat food. I open the pack and quickly scatter the food on the floor.
"Olivia, meow." I say, loudly. I heard the sound of cat meowing. It must be her. She comes out from the bush and run to the food. Taylor was surprised and approached Olivia slowly.
"Olivia! where have you been?" Taylor says and caressed her gently. Olivia was eating hungrily.
Taylor looks at me and say, "Evelyn, don't let it occur again."
"Now, go take a bath. You really smell like a fish." She says and chuckle.
"Okay, okay." This cat's food really affected my body smell. I went upstairs and take a leisure bath.
After taking bath, I wore my clothes and go downstairs for breakfast. I saw Taylor in the living room and she's on the phone. I make my way to the kitchen and open the cabinet to get a box of cereal. Suddenly, Taylor calls me. I sigh and go to the living room right away.
"We need to talk." She says.
"Okay." I take a seat next to her.
"I wrote a few rules that you must abide by on this paper and I want you to read it out loud." She says with a serious face. I take the paper slowly.
"Now, read it." She instructs.
1. Feed Meredith and Olivia 3 times a day.
2. Don't give a toss about the ladies.
3. Go buy groceries with Miss Emily every week.
4. Before posting on social media, think twice.
5. Open your mind before open your mouth.
6. No boyfriends allowed.
7. Don't step into the recording room.
8. Get down on studies.
9. Be good for everyone.
10. Tell mom before going out.
11. Respect your mom no matter what.
12. Keep a low profile at school.
13. Do try to keep out of troubles.
"Good. Don't you forget it." She says and smirk. I was perplexed but nodded my head. It's okay, I can deal with these rule.
"Okay, I've got a work to do. I'll be at home tonight." She make her way to the door and carry her guitar along.
"Emily will look after you for me. She will come here soon." She adds and close the door slowly.
I was standing on the doorway and thinking about the rules given by Taylor. Ever since I get adopted, I changed a lot. I'm not who I am.
The old Evelyn is died dead. That part of my life is over and done with. Now, this is my new life. I need to move forward and set off my new dreams.
