It was a late Sunday night and my 10 year old daughter had school off tomorrow because it was winter break, which was placed in her favorite time of the year. I decided to allow to let her stay up later than usual because of the surcum stances, which made her happy, and in turn making me happy. When the time came to go to bed, she and I read the book " Curious George in the Big City" by Margret and H.A.Rey. She always loved curious George and the mischievous adventures he went through. As I was tucking her in so That I could turn to turn off the light and leave the room, I stopped when from behind me in her quiet little voice she said to me "Daddy, there's a monster under my bed, can you make it go away?" I naturally turned around and responded with "Of course sweet heart, anything for my little pumpkin." I looked under the bed with my phone's flashlight and mumble some random words, hugged her good night, and left the room. Stupid little girl, I didn't live under there anymore, all I had to do was skin her father, and wear his skin as mine, it fit like a glove. If only she knew that she was next.
