I walked into the small shop, "The Creamery", and glanced around. I spotted Ian sitting at one of the tables, and made my way over to him. He looked handsome, wearing a simple button down and some jeans. Even when he wasn't trying, he looked nice. I decided to tell him so.

"You look good today," I bashfully uttered, starting up the conversation.

"Thanks, You dont look so bad yourself," he smirked, playfully flirting with me.

I tried to not make it too apparent that I was blushing. He surely knew how to smoothly start up a coversation. I softly scoffed, indicating that I knew he was trying to flirt with me.

I sat down in the booth across from him. He handed me a menu, and I noticed a sliver and blue ring  on his middle finger.

"That's a cool ring. What's the story behind it?"

Ian hesitated for a split second.

"It's a...family air loom." he said with a smug look on his face.

That was odd. Such a simple question like that shouldn't be followed with such a smug look. I took the weird answer into consideration, but eventually replied back with a smooth,

"Cool."

After the brief and awkward incident, Ian told me all about his life. Where he was born, his school years, leading up to where he was now. He cracked a joke every once in a while, and I found myself feeling more and more attached to him as the minutes flew by.

I ended up telling him about myself as well, and he seemed to enjoy hearing about every word I said. We laughed and talked for hours, until the workers there told us it was closing time, and that we had to leave.

Ian held open the door for me as we exited the petite coffee shop.

"Getting kicked out of a coffee shop, Never thought that would happen to me." I inquired, realizing just how long we had stayed there.

"Me either," he smiled.

He dropped me off at my dorm room, but just before he left, he snuck a quick kiss on my cheek.

I blushed and shook my head while closing my door behind me.

That boy was quite a cunning one.
