Hermione stood pressed against a bookshelf in the very back of the library with Draco's hands placed on both sides next to her face, trapping her. How had this even happened? She thought to herself, her pulse was raising and her breath was uneven. His eyes were so intense, a grey storm dancing in them as they pierced hers.

His breathing was slightly uneven too, she noticed. They had been studying calmly next to each other and she had gotten up to get a book from the shelf behind her and suddenly he was just there. So close with those intense, stormy eyes. Eyes that were both cold and warm at the same time. A few strands of his icy blonde hair had fallen into his eyes and she felt the urge to touch it. Brush it away so that nothing was blocking the view to those eyes.

There had been this thing between them lately, ever since they got back to school after the war. Ever since he'd pushed her out if harms way at the battle of Hogwarts, he'd looked at her with the same wild, intense eyes then too. Before he'd kept running to a different part if the castle. She had thanked him on their first day back and they'd ended up studying together from time to time. She guessed they were friends now, though there was this thing between them.

Hermione's hands had somehow found their way to Draco's waist and she found herself clutching his shirt in her fists. Needing to hold on to something, to him because of his stare. Those eyes. His hands moved one hand cupping her cheek, the other brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Kiss me," Hermione whispered.

She hadn't really meant to, she just did it anyway. She did want him to, she realized. His breath was shaky and warm and it smelled like mint. He was so close.

"I want to," he whispered back, his eyes still piercing hers, dipping quickly to her lips and back to her eyes.

No one would see, they were alone, they were always alone here. People tended to not go this deep into the library. Hermione was really glad they didn't at this moment.

"The problem is," he said as he leaned in. His nose was touching hers.

"If I kissed you I don't think I's ever be able to stop." There was longing in his eyes.

"What if I don't want you to ever stop?" Hermione asked.

Draco furrowed his brows slightly, like he was contemplating it.

"Draco," she breathed. "Kiss me."

And then he did. He closed the last little gap between their lips and he kissed her. It was the softest kiss she had hd ever felt. Soft and tentative, but still firm and warm when and wonderful.
