A/N: First off, before I begin, I know I don't do author's notes but, I need to seriously apologize... I have not updated in months and I am really really sorry. I had a lot of exams from school the last few weeks of the term and I had to leave overseas for holidays for four weeks and my mum said I wasn't allowed to bring my laptop. I really tried to update before I left for holidays but I never finished because I kept going back and changing the chapter over and over again. *Sigh*
Anyways...really sorry again and I promise to update more frequently in the future. Thank you and enjoy the chapter!
Amy snapped open her eyes to nothing. She saw an endless void of pitch black consuming her, suffocating her. Her body jerked for movement but felt none. She tried to search for a part of her body, but found none. All she felt was the pounding pain inside her head that had created this cold space of nothing.
She was scared. Nothing was in sight, nothing came out of her non-existent mouth, nothing to touch. Her senses had died inside this trap of isolation.
It feels like she had been reliving this fear her entire life, waking up to this darkness, reaching her peak of terror and insanity before it starts all over again. It terrified her to her core.
Where was she? Why was she like this? She wanted to get out! Into the light. Someone get her out!
Her head began to screech in pain as her panicked thoughts echoed through the hollow emptiness of this dead dimension. Her mind rejected her struggle, threatening to start over again. But she wouldn't let it. Fight. Fight.
She endured the pain and resisted with every last force to keep herself from being pulled back into defeat. It was unbearable, everything ached. She felt like she was being ripped apart to the verge of death. Make it stop!
NO! Keep going!
She was almost there! She could feel it! Her senses were coming back. She felt cold, freezing, like a corpse. The black space around her began to shatter as she felt her mouth open and let out an ear-piecing scream. Pieces of darkness fell off from around her, revealing the bright white light behind it. She could hear voices calling her name in a conglomerate blur.
Her head was splitting in two. Her breath was being forced out of her. Her hand reached out, stretching until the bones began to crackle and snap. She was almost out of her mind!
The white light blared at her, blinding her, daring her to go on instead of closing her eyes and going back to where she was. Everything was so over-whelming. Her senses that gave no input before where now hyped into overdrive, driving her crazy.
Light surrounded her until everything reached a peak and went into silence and numbness. OPEN! OPEN YOUR EYES! YOU ONLY HAVE SECONDS! OPEN THEM!
With all her strength and willpower, she clawed her eyes to open, craning them until something came through the windows. And all at once, everything slammed into her.
Her breath vacuumed itself into her body and her nerves frizzled to life. The eyes that held her in the emptiness of her mind and opened back into reality, sending a flurry of images and colours her way.
Voice of delighted, relieved and frantic people that loomed over her bed cried out.
"Your Majesty! You're awake! Thank Goodness!"
"Thank the Gods!"
"Renae! Get the others, immediately!"
Only seconds after immense relief, her eyelids began to droop once more. A electric buss of fear zipped through her veins, not wanting to lose everything she had just achieved. Rapid blinks in hopes to clear away her tiredness and gasps of air to provide oxygen for her muscles to push her up.
