A/N: Sorry this took a while! I was kind of stuck on this chapter but I got it out so, enjoy!
"What are you doing here?! Who gave you authority to even-"
"Not really a welcoming way to greet your dear older brother after 8 years, now is it?" Hakan's smooth voice spoke in Sirium tongue. Pyro's expression was deadly and poised on its target. That identical mocking grin and suave narrow of his eyes were bone-chilling. It quite literally was as if he saw himself in this diabolical man.
Pyro swallowed the painful lump in his throat that held back his words; Adam's apple bobbing as he does. With his mouth ajar, he waited for a comeback to strike out at Hakan, but found himself frozen; stiff with fear and sweating with anxiety. Was this all he could assert against his brother?! After years of convincing his hatred towards Hakan and re-imagining this very reunion countless times?!
Hakan scanned his expression and knew nothing had changed. He was still the same cowering wimp that obediently obeyed whatever his older brother told him to do...how disappointingly pathetic...
Amy felt Pyro's tense and rigid figure; the spasms and twitches that quaked through his back's muscles and observed the shake of his clenched fists. Although she didn't understand their native tongue, whatever Hakan must have said should have taken Pyro completely by surprise. Otherwise, to view this kind of reaction from Pyro was unimaginable.
"Your Royal Highness!" Thank the Gods, one of the guards that surrounded Hakan like a pack of wolves with the watchful eyes of a hawk came forward and bowed, saving him from the situation. "I apologize for not informing you earlier... The Supreme Leader of the Sapphire Gauntlet was requested an audience by His Majesty and will be residing within the Palace until a satisfying negotiation has been reached," he said in Ethonian so, that everyone could understand.
Amy stiffened at this notion and gulped. Hakan...was staying here?!
"Negotiations?" Pyro repeated, expecting an explanation. The guard nodded in confirmation.
"The King has requested the presence of all the Sirium council and royal members at the meetings... I cannot provide any more information, Your Highness. Your governess should provide all the details you require regarding the meetings." Pyro nodded in comprehension.
"I hope to meet satisfactory terms for both parties, brother. Otherwise, I quite sure you are aware of the consequences," Hakan beamed with a sinister grin.
Pyro glared at Hakan in detestation, the light diming from his eyes. "Nevertheless, what is he doing here? Who gave him any authority to even look at me?" The venom spewed through his words in thick chunks . The sharp edge of his words even sent shivers down Amy's spine. Never would she want to be on the receiving end of that voice.
Hakan however laughed in amusement. To him it was like a child that was thick-headed with his own arrogance, trying to win an immature quarrel against an adult. How piteous his brother looked right now. He thought all that tormenting as a child would raise him right. A shame it wasn't enough.
With a sigh he smiled with mock-warmth, continuing to speak in Sirium, "My brother... Whatever could I have done for you to show such abhorrence toward me? Are we not blood brothers? Partn-"
"Shut up. If I could, I would have already cut you open and drained you of all the blood we share," he responded in the same tongue.
"I've seen you've grown a gull...And some fruits of manhood came with it, I see," he peeked the neglected presence of the skirt that hid behind Pyro's legs. Pyro straightened against Amy's body. Hakan took note of Pyro's response and pushed further on the subject. "I've heard you've become quite the expert in getting under a woman's skirt...was I interrupting something or is this someone...special?"
