"Oooh;I like Luke but I would have to choose Michael Clifford." Carsonsmirked; her blonde, braided pigtails resting on her shoulders.

'Buses57, 81, 25 and 7 have arrived. I repeat Buses 57, 81, 25 and 7 havearrived." Awoman's voice echoed over the loudspeaker. Carson frowned slightly.

"Ihave to go. My bus was called. But I will call you tonight." Shegave Dayton a smile and pointed down the hall. "You just continueto go down straight and you will see where the parent pick up is."

Daytonsmiled back with a nod. "Thank you; I will talk you later Carson."She hooked her thumbs in the straps of her Moana backpack and headedto the parent pick up. She smiled seeing her brother Maxton waitingfor her.

Shepicked up the pace and weaved in and out of other kids to get to him."Hi Max!" The little girl beamed up at her big brother. He smiledback at her grabbing her hand. "Hey kiddo, did you have a goodfirst day?" He asked as he took her backpack.

Shenoticed his black eye before she answered. "I did...but doesn'tlook like you did. What happened?"

He chuckled slightly asthe two began to walk home. "It's okay; you should see the otherguy." he smirked.

"Didyou get into trouble?" She frowned slightly looking down at herpink Converse shoes as they walked.

"Dadhad to pick me up from school; but I didn't get in trouble with himbecause I was standing up for a new friend." He explained as thetwo turned the corner; walking on the same street as a small park.

Daytonnodded and she saw the park and a smile crept onto her face. "Canwe please go to the park?" She tugged on his hand excitedly.

Hechuckled with a nod. "Yes we can go to the park for a little bit.We will leave have to leave at 4. You know dad's rule aboutstarting homework by 4:15." He said as he looked both ways andcrossed the street still holding onto Dayton's hand.

Onceacross the street Dayton let go of his hand and ran to the park andran to the monkey bars right away. Maxton took a seat on the parkbench keeping an eye on his sister. He took out his phone to play oneof his games.
