What am I gonna do? Rocky hasn't stopped crying and Caitlin won't come any where near the house. Quinn and Cameron come over every once in a while, but no Caitlin.
"Can I come in?"
"Sure" I tell him.
Rocky opens the door and sits down next to me in my bed. "I'm sorry I haven't been talking to you since February. I was just really upset about Caitlin."
"You don't have to apologize. But could you tell me why you guys ran out?" I asked, desperately seeking an answer to the question that has been haunting me for over a month.
"The day before the game, Caitlin's parents passed away. She was really upset about it, and she wanted to keep it from you because you had just dealt with your parents and she didn't want you involved in such a delicate manner." He speeds through his answer like his life depends on it.
I suddenly realize how insensitive I've been.
I've been blaming her.
I should have been blaming myself.
