"The Giza pyramid is one of the most greatest attractions here." Mrs. Horvath said, while presenting her power point, about Africa.
"Egypt is in Africa? You gotta' be kidding me." I said. I had no idea Egypt was in Africa. I always thought, it was in India or Europe.
"Mr. Cooke, we have been going over this map for about a week now. If that's one of your serious questions, then your going to be in big trouble for Friday's test." Mrs. Horvath said, while getting a few snickers from my classmates.
"Aye bro' don't worry I gotta' picture of the whole map on my phone. She got me fucked up if she think I'm not cheatin' on this hard as test. I gotchu' bro." Scotty said trying his hardest to whisper.
"Good lookin' out, but damn bro' u can't whisper. You got your hot ass breath in my ear." I said, wiping the left side of my ear, that Scotty just spit on.
Scotty is one of my best friends. Now that I think about it he's the only dude that I call my friend, and best friend at that. Its funny though, because we never really liked each other, up until freshman year.
Scotty and I got the same intentions, fucking bitches, and smoking weed. That's why we never really got along. We were always after the most good-looking girl in our school. I remember in 8th grade, a foreign exchange student came in from Atlanta. She was beautiful. Long brown hair, with eyes so pretty, they could sweep you right off your feet. I was attracted to her just like that. Once Scotty seen that I got her number, he started hating instantly.
After a couple of months went passed, I moved on from the girl, and Scotty was pressing me. Asking me if we ever fucked, or if she was a good kisser. After that, we started hanging out, and talking about females over a fat ass blunt.
"Bro' whatchu' doin' after school? Come ride wit' me downtown, to meet this shorty from the Southside." Scotty said, ignoring the fact the he didn't even wait for my response, to his first question.
"Umm...bro, downtown Pittsburgh is busy as hell around this time, you stupid or somthin'? Man I can't I got somthin' to do." I said, spotting this girl that meant so much to me.
"But bro' this is the third time you played me out!" Scotty yelled over the last period bell, signaling everybody in West Mifflin High School that the school day is over.
"Yo wassup? Damn why you walkin' so fast shorty? I said trying to catch my breath.
"So, I'm supposed to stop moving when I see you comin'? Ajinae (ah-gee-nay) sighed. "You're pathetic Marcus, get the fuck out of my face." she said pushing me out of the school doors. Making her way through the groups of people, crowded around each other. Like school didn't just end.
"Ajinae what the fuck is wrong with you yo? I haven't said shit to you in the last two days, what are you mad about!? I said in frustration, trying to catch up to this girl, that I once called my girlfriend.
"Why do you gotta put me through this Marcus? Why can't you just respect me, and treat me how I'm supposed to be treated.
"What do you mean? We're not together! I give you respect what the fuck do you want me to do!" I yelled in confusion. This girl is always able to get under my skin, and I always allow her to.
"You know what Ajinae, I don't know why I do this with you. I will be a senior next year-I cannot focus on my life, if I always gotta worry about you, and how you're feeling! You know what? I'm out, my dad is waiting for me-I'm not about to do this...you need a ride? I asked, as I slowly started to walked in the opposite direction.
"Go fuck yourself Marcus, seriously." Ajinae said, trying to hold back her tears.
"Whatever shorty." I said as I walk toward the opposite direction.
-----------------------------------------------"The fuck took you so long son? I should punch the shit outta' you." My dad said-griping the steering wheel. As soon as I closed the door, he sped off, like we just finished robbing a bank.
"Dad, calm down. Why ain't you hit me up on my cell? I didn't know that you were going to be out here this early...you're always late."
"The fuck I look like callin' you? Stop talkin' to me about phones. Huh?! what I tell you Marcus!? I don't ever want you callin' me on any phone, unless its a payphone you hear me? Marcus! You hear me son? my dad said finishing his sentence just in time for the green light.
"I hear you dad." I said in an I already know tone. "Can you just take me home, I want to see my mom before she takes her nap." What I really was saying was Dad, can you hurry up and take me home, I ain't smoke weed in about 8 hours.
"Your mother still takes those naps huh?...I bet she does. She's a hardworking woman son, and don't you forget that." My dad said pullin' up to my home, that I can never stay away from.
"Alright pops, I'll call you." I said, knowing that I wouldn't.
"See you later boy, and Hey!...stop smoking' weed in your mother's house...ya' know...Respect son...respect." My dad said, while driving off.
"Man what the fuck?" I said, about to swing my fist at whoever this was sitting on my mother's porch.
"Chill Marc! chill, look what I got." Dock said, showin' me sandwich bags full of stamps, and I already knew what was inside of them.
"Yo get the fuck-" I couldn't even finish my sentence, before I grabbed his up, pushing him toward my backyard. "Don't ever pull that work out right here-disrespectin' my moms, what's wrong wit' you Dock?
"Sorry bro' I forgot, no disrespect. I'm just geeked bro! I got this new shipment, and I'm gona need some help." Dock said grabbing my shoulder.
"Man get off of me. I told you I ain't down with that shit." I said fixing the collar part of my shirt, as we walked back to my front porch.
"I know Marc, man that's why I want you to slang this. You the only kid I know out here that don't smoke crack. You're the only person I can trust right now Marc. It's wild out here feel me? These new people from the East man, they movin' quick and If I don't start makin' sells now...then you know who-"
"I know I know." I said, cutting Dock of before he starts telling me things that I already know.
"Man I'll see what I can do."
