I. That's all I'm asking for

It was barely past midnight when Simon was already laying in bed. This was queit an unusal thing for him to do, since his sleeping schedule didn't include this type of activity till 2 am. But that night he didn't feel like recording till he couldn't keep his eyelids open. No, he decided to hit the hay relatively early so he could drown in his thoughts when he was doing nothing, rather than doing the same thing as he was working, making him mess things up.

So he just laid there on his back staring at the ceiling of the barely lit room. His mind often wandered to places where it should've never went. Like ending his YouTube carreer and actually searching for a real job. A real job what his family appreciated and approved of. Despite that taking one quarter of his thoughts, that still wasn't the biggest problem on his mind that night. Or on any other day in the past three or more years.

The main reason of his sleeplessness was his good friend. The guy who he always called whenever he needed help in something. Who regularly bullied him in video games, but didn't mean any of it. The guy who he looked up the most in the Sidemen, or just in general.

You might be wondering who could that be. Well let me tell you something. Fans don't say that he has the best chemistry with this man on camera for no reason. But what they don't know is that Simon was actually in love with the man himself called Joshua Bradley.

He wanted to do something about it. The seemingly endless crush of his on him. But he just didn't know what to do. Josh had a girlfriend who he loved and admired for god knows how many years. He didn't want to mess things up with him and tell him how he felt towards him so he just locked these thoughts up in his head, away from the world, away from reality.

Talking about that girlfriend, they were in fact taking a break in their relationship, mostly because they needed the flame back in their love life and they thought some space and time would do the work for them.

And this just made things even worse for the blonde boy. It made him more confused by the point of getting up and dragging his tired body down the stairs into straight into Josh's room.

He knocked twice quickly then once again, as this was their sign to let each other know they were the one's who was standing in front of the door, without having to shout who they were.

"Come on in, Si." Josh murmured loud enough for the lanky boy to hear.

"Hey." Simon stepped in seeing that his friend was still sitting at his desk, working on something, his back facing him.

"Hi." Josh turned towards him to gave him a quick smile then went back to his monitor. "Can I help you with something?"

Simon stood in the doorway for a while hesitating, not entirely sure how he even got there anymore.
"No. Not really. I-I'm just gonna.. Leave, yeah. I'm gonna do that." He stuttered already turning back.

"Don't do that." Josh got up from his chair removing his headphones, stopping right in front of Simon and grabbing his wrist carefully. "There must have a reason, or else why would you be standing here?" He chuckled guiding him towards his bed and sitting down with him.

"You don't get it." Simon sighed trying to get his hand out of Josh's gentle grip. "I don't even know why I'm here."

That was a lie at its finest. Of course he knew why he was there, just didn't have the courage to tell him.

Josh shook his head, realising that his fingers were still lingering on the other boy so he let go of him.

"It's 2 am and you needed me for something. What's on your mind? Come on, tell me." He nudged him slightly with his shoulder smiling.

Simon knitted his eyebrows trying to work out how was that possible to be so late, since the last time he checked it was only midnight.

"I guess, I felt lonely." He eventually managed to get out, finally saying something that was partly true.

"Understandable." Josh hummed putting a hand on Simon's cheek and caressing it slowly. "That's not it though. There something more there that you don't want to tell me."

He let go of his face giving him a puzzled look and a slight grin."Si, you can tell me anything."

"Anything?" He asked back trying to get his hopes up.

"Anything." Josh nodded his voice turning serious. "Whatever you say I won't judge."

"Ca-can you do me a favour?" The blonde asked his voice shaky like a leaf that's ready to fall off a tree in the morning breeze of autumn.

"Of course. Just tell me."

Simon looked straight into his eyes, thinking now or never.
"Date me for three days. That's all I'm asking for."

"I-I wha? Why? What do you.. ? Why would you want to...? I-" Josh started rambling a lot of questions at once, not even thinking about the possibility of a prank.

Simon needed to stop him, already regretting his decision.

"Forget it." He huffed interrupting Josh and getting up.

"No don't go." Josh quickly got up too and stood in front of him just like he did earlier. "Just tell me why."

"Because... Because I've had a crush on you for a long time now... And... And since I know that you won't ever be mine, I just want to experience what is it like to date you. I'm not asking for anything more just three days. Three days to treat me like I'm yours." He admitted his hands trembling as he did so.

"Wh-why do you think..? What do you think this would do?" Josh gulped already thinking about the possibly horrible outcomes of this situation.

"This may help me get over you." Simon stated matter of factly, surprised at his own tone afterwards.

"I want to remind you that, dating... Dating me means..Also doing you know... Having..." Josh started just to get cut off by the blonde again.

"No. No. No. None of that stuff. I'm okay with you taking me to... Like a date? Yeah lets go with that one." Simon nodded to himself smiling sheepishly at the other boy blushing.

"Okay. I can do that. I guess."

"Thank you so much!" Simon shouted jumping into Josh's arms and hugging him tightly. "This means a lot to me you know." He smiled pulling away from the hug that Josh returned.

"You know that I'd do anything for you." He smiled back. "But for now, go to sleep."

Simon nodded. "Goodnight Josh."

"Night Simon."
