Family Away From Family

      Pidge always saw Shiro as a Father. She had no one to call dad when she got stuck with Voltron. That resulted to her accidentally calling Shiro 'Dad'. Tears gathered in her eyes as she looked at Shiro with horror, raining him with apologies. All Shiro did was smile and hug her. He only responded with 'Katie, you are fine.'. Till that slip up day, Pidge called Shiro 'Space Dad'. Lance was the Second to catch on and call Shiro that to, seeing how Lance was very attached to his own family. The rest of team Voltron caught on as a joke.
The second slip up Pidge made was with Lance. She and Lance were trying to set up the video game they bought at the space mall. They had such a fun time collecting all the money to buy the space game council. When they found out they couldn't set it up, Pidge stated to the Cuban, 'Ha ha Thanks Matt for helping-'. She slapped her mouth shut, looking up to the Cuban. She paled as she looked at Lance, tears gathering at her eyes. Lance snatched her into a hug and smiled. He told her calmly while running soothing circles on her back, 'And here I almost called you 'sis'..'. They looked at each other, both crying with smiles on their faces. They started to giggle and they hugged again. Pidge stated to Lance, 'Thanks 'space bro'.'. Lance returned with a 'No hay problema, 'space sis'.'. With that, they formed a bond almost as strong as Matt and Pidge's bond. The two only called each other the nick names they had for the other when they were alone or privately talking.
Shiro, Lance, and Pidge started to have fun nights together. Whenever they had a break, all three of them would relax together knowing that for now, they had a family. That together, they were not the same as their original families but for now, them being together was good enough.
