Happy New Year! I woke up to strange voices and sounds. At first, I thought it was a nightmare, but as I got up and went outside our motel room; I figured out it wasn't. I was worried I was going nuts from all the weird hunts and the nightmares. The thing was, the voices weren't speaking English more like gibberish. I'm worried mom will find out. I hope this is just a phase.

Happy Birthday, to me. I got to go on a solo hunt yesterday. Mom said I should've a couple years ago, but she wasn't sure I was ready. After the hunt, I went back to our motel in Salt Lake City. When I got there, John Winchester was there. Turns out, I'm a Winchester. Mom has a lot of explaining to do. Anyway, he wants me to work a case with him, but mom's not having it. I'm okay with that because he doesn't have a very good track record with partners, according to Ellen at the Roadhouse. I know the risks, but if he really is my dad, I want to get to know him; even if it means hunting with him. Let's hope it's not a major hunt.

Mom went into a rage when I told her I was going to hunt with John. He jumped in front of me to block mom from hitting me or worse. It shocked me to no end. He didn't even know me and here he was protecting me. So here we are in the middle of Texas, following a lead. Research still sucks, but at least I'm not alone. Maybe we'll solve the case so I can go back to Salt Lake City soon.

I wasn't the smartest 15-year-old. I didn't know that this one case would change my life, forever. It was the first and only time I got to talk to dad before he died. I felt bad, but then again Mom changed my name and told me my father had died shortly after I was born. She never did explain entirely why she did what she did. For the longest time I hated her, too. That's the thing when it comes to the lives of hunters: they never have happy endings, ever.
