Chapter 2: The Real World

I woke up in a hospital connected to heart monitors. It was blurry at first but then my eyes focused. I was in a room not much bigger than my own. The walls were a depressing white with a diploma which I assumed was the nurse's on the wall. I tried to get up but I must have made a lot of noise because  a nurse came rushing in to check the room. "Oh I see you finally woke up!" The nurse said sounding surprised. "Y-Yeah it's all over..." I said. "Your family is really worried about you!" The nurse replied. "I'll call them right away!" The nurse then ran off to dial them. I just lied down in the bed regaining my senses. When the nurse came back it was with 2 other people. "Sam!" I exclaimed when I saw Sam's tear struck face. She ran over and hugged me really hard. "S-S-am can-t breath-e" I said gasping for air. "Oops sorry big brother!" She said happily. "Well you are now discharged from the hospital so we can go home now!" Sam said excitedly. "I'm glad your back." My Aunt said with a soft smile on her face. "Thank you." I replied. "Ok well thank you Miss Kate!" My aunt said. "Yeah thank you!" I said very gratefully. "Your very welcome!" She replied happily. As we walked out of the hospital... well when I say walked I mean limped. I took in my first breath of fresh air. The cherry blossom trees bloomed all around us. I assumed it was spring. We then got into the car and drove home... Thank God it's over.
