Leila's Point Of View:
It was one of those normal nights. I was doing the usual. Laying down, and reading. I honestly had no idea where my parents were? I know they leave awfully a lot, but they left all night. The phone started to ring, I quickly got off my butt, and rushed into the living room and answered, and it was my grandmother asking me to spend the Summer with her.. I honestly had no idea what to say? she lived a couple hours away. I told her I'll ask my mother about it in the morning. I disconnected the phone and went back upstairs and jumped onto my bed, letting out a sigh. I was so tired, I stayed up reading this novel I found in the library. Not much of a fan of reading, but if its about romance, then you knows it's something worth reading. I finally closed my eyes, my thoughts started to slowly fade. I'm slowly drifting away to sleep.
I woke up to the scent of peaches coming from the kitchen, I assume. I got up, wiped my eyes. I blinked a couple times. I looked to my right, and got up, putting on a black ripped jeans, and a black shirt with a triangle symbol. Kind of reminded me of that band Fall Out Boy. I put socks on and went downstairs and my mother was cooking pancakes, and my father was gone to work. "So, your grandmother called lastnight, what did she want?", my mother asked flipping one of the pancakes. "Oh, she was asking if I could spend the Summer with her..", I said playing with my thumb. She stopped, and looked at me, I kept staring at my thumbs, biting my lip. Then she said angrily "you know how I feel about you going there? I don't approve this..", she went back doing what she was doing. I stretched, letting out a yawn. She quickly turned "you know what? since your fathers going on a business trip, and I'll be helping out in the community, you could go for a visit. I don't see why not?", she said smiling. I grinned "r-really?", I asked softly. She chuckled "sure, sure.. just get ready, when you come home from School, I'll drop you off.. sound good?", she said putting the pancakes on the plates. I nodded and went rushing upstairs and started to pack quickly. Boy, I knew she wanted me out of this prison. I laughed at my own joke, what a catch. As I was done packing, my mother called me to come eat breakfast.
I was all done, and ready to go to School. As I got there, I noticed their was less kids. Guess they really wanna spend the last day of School at home, or something? I got into class, and only a few kids came, they all smiled at me, while I entered the room. The teacher was gone. "She's in the teacher lounge..", Gerard said grinning. I nodded at him. Today is gonna be such a long boring day, I'll just make an excuse or something, and my parents will believe it like they always do. I sighed walking out the door. Since my mother was possibly gone to work, I'd walk home. I walked through the halls, watching kids leave the school one by one.
When I got home, my grandmother was inside, "Leila, you're home.. hi!", my grandmother said, I looked at her and smiled. "why so glum? better yet, why you home early?", she said, lifting a brow at me. "They were barely kids, and teachers, so I was dismissed..", I said looking at me feet. "oh, well.. put your bags in the trunk, we're leaving soon..", she said picking up her cup of coffee. I immediately did as she said. I wonder what now? I went onto my computer and started listening to Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit", it was one of my favorite songs, since I do have an obsession with bands. I laid back in bed, resting for awhile until she called me downstairs to go in the car and be on our merry way.
(I KNOW THIS CHAPTERS SHORT, BUT I'LL WORK ON IT, IN THE MORNING, OR WHENEVER I GET THE CHANCE TOO, OK?! LOVEYA)
