Yellow hearts // Short Story

Day 10 - Wait

Mikey's pov
I was kneeling down by one of my best friends in the entire world and because of the job i do the hate is driving her to go back home... I couldn't let that happen i needed a plan. I needed her to stay.

1 hour later

We were all back at Jess' Hotel and Jess started packing as i sat on the  bed folding clothes for her i couldn't help but try and think of a way to stop her

" Mikey i know what you're thinking but please i need to go " She spoke not even looking at me as i could tell she was on the urge of crying once again

" I will do anything to make you stay anything " I begged before she turned around and engulfed me into a hug nearly knocking me backwards as i hugged her back.Before she let go and i passed her the last item that was in her suitcase before she went to zip it up.

" Jess Wait " I panicked taking off the woolly sweater i was wearing which was her favourite and passed it to her

" No Mikey i can't take this you love it as much as i do " She spoke going to hand it back

" Keep it Jess i promise you will love it more than me " I smiled as she placed it in her suitcase and packed up as i saw a tear drop onto her suitcase before everyone at once decided to hug her. This was going to  be an extreamly hard goodbye.

We all got into blair's car with Jess on the way to the airport. Most of the way it was silence apart from Brook trying to cheer everyone up and a few occasional moments where Rye would share his favourite times from the trip we've had with Jess i could feel her tears dripping onto my t-shirt as i tried my hardest to hold my tears in. We got to the airport and Jess unloaded her bags as everyone helped. We walked in just in time as her gate was called for the 10 minuet warning. I watched her hug everyone individually as Rye stepped out of my hug and into hers picking her up slightly before they let go and we were face to face.

" I guess this is goodbye Mikey..." She said as i rubbed the tears away from her eyes and pulled her into a hug as i rested my head on hers as tears fell down heavily

" I'm going to miss you Jess" I spoke my voice cracking

" I'm going to miss you even more" She spoke her voice upset and broke we let go as all the boys said bye and started to wonder back as i stood watching her walk away for a little while

" Wait!" I shouted not really knowing what i was doing as she turned around i just ran and
we
kissed.

" I love you Jess " I spoke smiling a little

" I love you too goodbye " she kissed me once more before i watched her dissaper into the distance

" Goodbye Jess " I Whisper looking down at the yellow heart tattoo i had on my wrist to match hers

I'll never forget you....
