I look out upon the horizon, and see the walls off in distance, along with the little tiny ant like people. I smirk slightly as I lean against the hard muddy coloured bark of these big ass trees, that was until Cadet Kirstein interrupted my solitude.
The wind from his man-oeuvre gear rippled softly through my raven undercut like a whisper, and the whir made it to my ears as something much louder. I furrowed my brows and turned to the brat.
"Captain Levi." He saluted. "Eren has been spotted just north of here. Mikasa and Armin found him. He's in pretty bad shape."
I sigh, and look out longingly into the distance, imagining an open meadow where I could just rest and possibly read, free of bratty cadets, Titans, and paperwork regarding such.
"How serious?" I ask, turning back to face Jean.
He shrugged. "I think he's in a coma. But he seems to he regenerating? So it's possible that he has to be asleep like that for such wounds to heal."
I raised a brow. "Such wounds?"
He nodded. "Uh, yeah. He's missing both his hands... and an eye I think. He's banged up pretty badly too."
"Tch. Damn foolish brat." I look away, feeling my heart twinge with something, unknown. "Thank you Kirstein. Now go finish your duties and get a headcount of how many soldiers we have left. Then we'll see to it that Hanji gets Jaeger into the infirmary."
He nods and salutes once more before zipping off into the opposite direction that I must travel.
I press down the levers, and it isn't too long before I see patches of blonde and raven through the brush. It's then that I notice the steam rising up and around the area.
I shake my head again and jump down there. The blonde looks up at me and salutes, bowing his head.
"C-captain! We found Eren like this... he seems to be alright considering... Did Jean fill you in on his condition?"
I nod. "Yes, he did. What exactly happened?"
Now Mikasa spoke up, her violet tinted grey eyes piercing into my similar icy blue tinted ones. "That doesn't matter. What matters is that we get Eren to safety."
I glared back. "Excuse me, Ackerman, but last time I checked you weren't the captain. Nor do you have authority over Jaeger." She huffed and I clicked my tongue. "Tch. I don't care anyways. Get Hanji, and get him in the infirmary. He's a nuisance out here, and I have shit to do."Armin nods frantically and I can see the other raven's eye twitch.
"Y-yes sir!" One replied. I smirk and zip off, to check on the other cadets.
