The two had ordered two warm drinks and small dainty cakes filled with mouth watering whipped cream. Each stealing glances as well as pieces of cake from each other.
They talked and laughed and joked for what seemed at the time as mere minutes.
They got to know each other better as they chatted about their hobbies, their family lives and the excruciating amount of studying that was being given to them both by their professors. What surprised them both was that they attend the same university. The boy was studying criminology and the girl was studying nursing.
The day ended on the topic of the carnival that was happening in the next week or so.
"Would you want to come with me?" the boy had asked.
"I'd love to," the girl had replied.
