The other side of Chres

"Daddy"

she said fear laced her voice.

Chres was sort of starring in space the same look of anger upon his face.

"Chres your scarring her"

i said

"Disney go up stairs baby ok"

"Daddy whats going on"

"Nothing sweet heart were are just having a little convo ok."

Then the door opened to reveal Vickie and Joel. He took one look before he ran at Chres and tackled him over the couch. They started fighting and i got over to get Joel off everyone was yelling and Disney started crying. Then a gun shot went off and we all stopped and starred at my mom who had a shot gun. When the hell did she buy a gun.

"What the hell is goin on here"

she said

"Get the hell off ma son now"

she said and Chres got off of Joel and mom helped him up he had a busted lip black eye and a swollen cheek i went to get him an ice pack and came back. I put it on his cheek and he went upstairs with Vickie and my mom they took Disney with them. I sat down on the steps i looked at Chres he had his head in his lap his hands gripping his hair.

"Chres"

i said

"What"

He looked up at me he had tears in his eyes.

I couldn't say anything i was about to but he got a phone call.

"Hello........Yea........A'ight.......i'll be there in a min........bye"

Then he ran upstairs i followed i saw him go into Disney's room he came back out with her sleeping form and hugged me and left.

I didn't know what came over me but when it hit i fell on the steps crying my eyes out i screamed and it echoed through the house then heard the running of feet down the steps. I felt arms go around me and hold me to them it was joel he always did this when we were younger.

Flashback

Taty's pov

i screamed and woke up to the sound of the thunder it scared me so much. i could hear joel running down the hall to my room until he burst through.

"j.j i scared"

"its ok there aint nothin out there to be scared about"

"really?"

"yep. I gotta surprise for ya"

"Oh what is it huh huh tell me"

"Here u go"

he reach in his Pocket and pulled out ma favorite candy. A na na rancher i call them that cause my na na always gave them to me.

"A na na rancher.  Tanks ya j.j"

"No prob now go to sleep sis im right here"

Flash back end

I always felt self in his scrawny muscle arms i could stay like this forever i eventually fell asleep and felt Joel carrying me up the steps and placed me in ma bed. Then i felt him kiss my forehead.

"Nite Yanii"

"Nite J.J"
