Vampire School

Heyo! I'm just going to say that I'm changing the story a bit. :D

CHAPTER 1: Vampire School

Emilea's POV

"I heard a new student is arriving today." gushed Maggie, spinning her light brown hair loosely around her finger looking a bit dazed.

I hated her so much.

I shook my head slightly, trying to get rid of the thought that clearly wasn't my own - it was Ben's.

I watched as his face remained calm and placid, even though I could see the slight wrinkling between his eyebrows, meaning he was trying not to scowl. Just then, Maggie's name was called across the cafeteria, and she left her place on the bench where she was trying to press up against Ben. We watched as she skipped off across the room, disappearing behind a corner. Jane was the first to speak.

"I hate that bitch so much." she wrinkles her nose up in distaste, looking at where Maggie had just disappeared, before turning her dark blue eyes onto Ben. "Why haven't ya gotten rid of her ya git? We have to put up with her as well!" whines Jane, although I sympathise with her. We all do. Ben let an inaudible sigh.

We sympathise with him as well.

As a member of one of the royal bloodlines everyone wanted to be his best friend, or his girlfriend.

Idiots.

They were all going the wrong way in trying to get close to him. We, his closest friends, all didn't care about his, or anyone else's status, and proved to him just that. We've always been loyal to him, the way he is to us.

Jane was just her regular self for about ten minutes, until we let her into the group when we first met.

Michael saved my life, earning mine, and Ben's trust and debt instantly. It was an added bonus that he wasn't a douche either.

Jane met the twins Kleo and Katie and claimed that she wanted to keep them so they could do her homework. They don't do it, but they're still here.

Clark and Petricia were just sort of there.

And then there was Broyn. He didn't speak much, but he wanted to become Ben's Royal Guardian.

And that was everyone.

Ben and I were Full Blooded Royals, meaning we were pure vampire, no human mixed. Clark and Petricia were Full Blooded as well, but weren't Royals. Michael, Jane and Broyn were Halflings, meaning they were half human and half vampire. Kleo and Katie were the only humans in our group.

In a way, I guess there's always a sense of envy towards Kleo and Katie, and just humans in general. Most humans that did know of vampire's existence, didn't like us - at all. Things have only just started changing, recently.

Up until a few years ago, it was illegal for humans to harbour any sort of feelings towards us, except for disgust and hate.

Things were still bad. Still bad, but better than before.

And here we were today. In our school, once only accepting vampires and Halflings, but humans as well.

Guess we couldn't jokingly call it Vampire School now.

Damn.
