Harry sat in his living room, listening to Taylor's new song. He assumed that it was about her new boyfriend, but there were a few subtle things that made him think twice. But, surely, she didn't still think about him. She'd made it abundantly clear that she had moved on at the BBMAs.
He didn't know much about Joe Alwyn, other than the fact that the guy never smiled and he still lived with his parents, but why would Taylor call him a ghost? After all, Joe was not the one who wrote a song called "Two Ghosts" about Taylor. And then there was the whole "younger than my exes" thing. Harry knew he was the youngest of her exes, aside from Conor Kennedy, and last he'd heard, Conor had gotten arrested, so he highly doubted that Taylor still harbored a thing for him. Surely, that had to mean something, right? Harry could go on further about different signs, but, for the sake of his heart, he gave it a rest.
Harry laid back on the couch and turned on the TV. E! News was on and the blonde anchor was saying, "Taylor Swift just released her newest single from her upcoming album, reputation, titled '...ready for it?'. Fans are already speculating who the song could be about. Some believe that the lyrics are pointing to her ex-flame, Harry Styles. Others think that it's about her rumoured new boyfriend, Joe Alwyn. Swift doesn't always reveal who her songs are about unless she states a name in the song. Her upcoming album is the most anticipated album of the year. Are you ready for it?"
Harry laughed, sardonically, and switched off the television. He heard knocking at the door and yelled, "Coming!"
He trudged his way to the front door, opened it, and froze. He blinked three times, unsure whether the blonde girl on his porch wearing his paper airplance necklace was real or not.
"Are you ready for it?" Taylor asked, hope in her eyes.
In response, he looped his arm around her waist and pulled her to him. Smiling, he lowered his lips to her and felt at peace.
This was really short and it's really more of an imagine than a one-shot but it's just something I dreamed up.
