Chapter 14

*Kay's POV*

It was a beautiful day. I could tell since sun was blasting through the blinds of our room. "You ready to go back today" said Matt as he stretched in the most adorable way. I totally forgot. Today was Magcon! We both got up and changed, brushed our teeth and I fixed my hair and done my makeup. Me and Matt raced downstairs to the table.

"So we heard you guys were hitting it off yesterday aye?" said Kian. "What! how did you guys know?" "lets just say one thing, you guys moan LOUD!" chuckled Sam. "thanks!" I said while taking my toast out of the toaster. Cameron kept glancing on me while I was heading for the table. "So you guys, Carter won't be attending since he is at the hospital.." Said Matt

"WHAT! What happened? is he okay!!??!!" I exclaimed as I felt blood rapidly rush through my body. "yeah yeah he's fine, nothing physical but I think it's about Melanie baby." Matt replied while taking a bite out of his toast.

We all finished breakfast and left for Magcon! I couldn't be more excited.

*Carter's POV*

I kept on fidgeting on the waiting room seats in the hospital. We had been waiting for a few ours now since there were other patients. I held on to Melanie's hand. It was cold. I tilted my head back and she mumbled "I hope everything's gonna be okay.." I faced Melanie and looked into her big brown eyes and said "don't worry. Whatever happens, I'll always be with you no matter what. If it does turn out good then be happy, If it doesn't then that will be the past." I meant it. From the bottom of my heart, I meant what I said. I didn't think I was ready (neither was Melanie) to have a son or daughter but I still wanted to keep her happy.

3 minutes later a nurse came out. "Mr Reynolds and Miss Davis?" she said while looking at us. I nodded. "Would you like to come in?" she asked rhetorically. We both went in and there was a doctor. Female, Brown hair, matching eyes, short and young. Melanie and I sat down, hand in hand

"So good morning Mr Reynolds and Miss Davis." she said in a polite gesture. "good morning" said me and Melanie. The doctor opened her mouth an said "Okay well there is good news and bad news, I'm gonna start with good news." She proceeded "The good news is that the scan said it was a baby girl" I looked at Melanie with so much happiness. She was smiling ear to ear. Then we lowered our smiles because the doctor held Melanie's hand. Here came the bead news. "darling, I am so sorry but.....You have had a m-miscarriage"

The doctor smiled as if there was something she could do, but there wasn't. We both said "Thank you" and left. Melanie hugged me straight away and sobbed as much as she could. I felt like the only hope in my heart was gone. Why did it have to be her. Melanie deserves so much. Yeah she cheated on me but that was the past.....and so was her miscarriage. "I'm sorry babe..." I muffled into her hair. I kissed her forehead. She pulled away from the hug an said "We can always try again in the future." She said and stopped sobbing. We held hands and went back into the car.

We got in and drove off to the O2L house. "Bullshit" I mumbled while driving. "it's okay, if we got married we can be better parents in the future" said Melanie. I took that as a hint for me to propose to her but I wasn't ready, not yet. By the time we got back to the house it was 5:30. Everyone hugged since they were back from Magcon. We all sat in the living room. Kay and Andrea went shopping for tomorrow. Tomorrow was Kay's birthday. I still had to buy her a present!

"So how was everything at the hospital?" Taylor asked. "I think we should just tell em' about it" Whispered Melanie. "You guys, Umm Melanie had a miscarriage." I blurted out. Everyone's jaw dropped and the all went into hug us. "you guys its fine, we've put that behind us now.." said Melanie looking down.
