I opened the door to Raimon JR High's football club room and was greeted by the usual wave of boredom. The 5 players (not including myself) were sitting around, messing and playing game consoles. Oh how I wish they had the same enthusiasm for football. How was i ever going to be able to achieve my dream of entering the Football Frontier? I ground my teeth in frustration before shouting "What's wrong with you all?! We're the Raimon JR High football club and we should be playing football! Instead you sit around doing doing nothing!" Then stormed out of the club room to practice by myself at my special training spot- the tower and my super training tyre!
As I was going out- I saw Tom -E-, my friend. I shouted hello to him before he ran over to me. "Hey Liam. I, er, see you're off to practice by ypurself again eh?" He said to me. I grumbled a quick yes under my breath. "Well I've heard the deputy head of Raimon wanted to see you about something so see you!" He called, jogging off. I thanked him for the advice and ran towards the main building. I ran up the stairs to the deputy head's office. I knocked, and heard a muffled "Enter.". I entered...
"So as you know Liam, your team isn't one to practice much are they?" Mr. Wood said. I agreed. "Well how about this? There's a new transfer student that's recently joined Raimon from a different school. He asked me if there was a school football team, and I tried to tell him about our other clubs, but he was persistent about the footbal club. So I agreed to speak to you, as you're the captain, to see if he could join." I whooped with joy- before being silenced by a glare from Mr. Wood. "So I see you would like him to join then." I nodded. "Well, he can join on one condition-" "What's that sir?" I asked. "-Raimon plays a friendly match against Royal Academy." He said. My joy dissaperated instantly. "The undefeated team thats reigned the Football Frontier for 40 years?" I questioned him.
"Yes." came a voice from the shadows. A boy stepped forward. "He," Mr. Wood announced- "Is Harry Swift" the boys voice said, interrupting Mr. Wood.
