~Your POV~

"(Y/N)..." "..Wake up...." "..(Y/N)...!"

"(Y/N)!!!" You screamed and fast opened your eyes. Only by hearing a familiar laugh. "Omg! You should've seen your face!" You growled annoyed and rubbed your eye. You remembered that Lois would stay the night, but forgot her way to wake you up. Though she is your best friend, sometimes she is that person you would trow off a cliff.

"Are you thinking about the cliff again?" You looked at Lois, who was raising an eyebrow. "You know, sometimes I really think you can read minds." You said and both started to laugh. "My grandmother says that it's something in the family. Some kind of voodoo thingy or something. I never pay attention to her when she speaks about it." You giggled. "My grandmother always says to me to be careful. I don't know why, but every time we pass a boy, she holds me close. Like I'm a little kid!" Lois shrugged and started to pack her stuff. "Maybe she has a good reason." "Yeah, but that will make me end up with 12 cats."

"(Y/N)! Lois' her mother is here!" Your mother yelled from downstairs. "Coming!" You rolled your eyes and saw Lois glaring at you. "What?" "You rolled your eyes at your mother! If I do that, I'm literally dead!" You laughed. "But you have another mother then me, you know?" "Oh gawd, hell yeah we do!" "(Y/N)!!!" You sighed. "I SAID WE ARE COMING!"

When Lois was done packing her stuff, you two walked downstairs. You saw your mother standing at the open door, tapping her foot on the ground. "Why does that take so long?" "Same way you and dad took so lo-" You couldn't finish your sentence because Lois stepped on your foot. "Ouch?!" She shrugged. You looked at your mother, which was shooting diggers with her stare. You shot a glare back and pushed Lois out the house.

Before your mother could say something, you closed the door in her face. You turned around and saw Lois looking at you while sighing. "It is not only my problem! She screwed it all up by leaving dad!" "So? Maybe it wasn't her fault, but his. Maybe she had a good reason." You giggled a bit. "You just had to make this mysterious, didn't you?" You both laughed, when you heard a car driving in front of the house.

"Oh, well. There's my mother!" She opened her arms and hugged you. You smiled at her and returned the hug. "See you at school tomorrow?" "Of course!" She said and walked towards the car. You waved at her as she drove away. You felt a little shock in your stomach as you couldn't see the car anymore. You always hated it when she had to leave. Not the type of pain like your boyfriend that leaves, only to go for 3 minutes to the bathroom. No, Lois was the only person that you could trust. She was always there when you needed her, she always listened when you had a problem. She was like a big sister that never left the house.

You opened the door and immediately got greeted by a slap across your face. You were surpised and looked at your mother, who was standing with a bottle wine in her hand and an angry look. You held your cheek as you tried not to get angry. "What did I said about talking about that...that... ASSHOLE here in house!?" Your mother hissed while spitting a bit in your face. You looked away and mumbled: "Don't..." "Then listen for once, you piece of worthless shit!!" She yelled back at you and walked unstable to the kitchen.

You ran to the stairs, holding back your tears, as the phone started to ring. "YOU TAKE IT!" You heard a yell coming from the kitchen. You clenched your fist and walked annoyed to the phone. "What?" "Well, that isn't a nice way to meet your new boss!" Your eyes began to widen and you almost dropped the phone. That's right! I almost forgot.  A couple weeks ago, when it happened, your mother told you to go week for a job. Cause she won't work for a while, Someone else had to  make money to survive.

"Hello?" You blinked a couple of times and got back into reality. "Oh, I'm sorry. I blacked out for a moment!" "No need to apologise. In the end we're all humans, right?" You heard a nervous chuckle coming from him. "Uhm, yeah, I guess." You answered him, not knowing the meaning of his nervousness. "But that's not why I called! Last night, we uhm... kinda 'lost' an employee! So it's a mess now! There is to much work and not enough people to do it!" Lost? Why doesn't he just says someone left?  Thinking about the words he used, you didn't focussed on the conversation anymore.
