Chapter 7: Radiant Gardens

Hola my mishamigos! Yes, I'm still alive and have fully functional fingertips. Sorry can't even really explain away a year long hiatus. I guess that I just stopped thinking that this was any good. And then for some reason, I started getting comments alerts from you guys basically telling me to get my lazy butt to get moving. So thanks, if only I had you guys for college work. Anyways, there are so many people to thank for this chapter being posted. I'm dedicating this chapter to SereneWriting because she made this new epic book cover,

***Natalie's p.o.v*** 

Walking alongside the pathways in Radiant Gardens standing next to the guy she had idolized for most of her teenage years, Natalie sat down next to him swinging her legs out over the edge. It was really something from all the way up here, and Radiant Gardens was amazing up close but from farther away everything seemed so small but was bigger in a way. Just the weight of the fact that she was actually here weighing on her more, she guessed. Or maybe, she was just finally about to have that long awaiting nervous breakdown that her friend was always joking would be bound to happen any minute or not, or maybe she would just leave that for later. It was nice sitting up here with Leon, but as the minutes passed by with neither of them saying anything, the silence thickened and the nice atmosphere that she had originally had turned into something very awkward. 

"Sooo, Leon right?" Natalie asked just trying to get a conversation started. She knew that Leon didn't say a lot, but he had been the one to pull her out of Merlin's house so the least he could do was say something. His head lifted abruptly as if he had forgotten that she was even there, but ever since his hand hadn't left his gun blade's holster so she knew that he had known exactly where she was during their little walk. 

Looking over at the gun blade wielder, she was only met by a small nod. Rolling her eyes at his refusal to speak, Natalie slowly started to get to her feet before she was stopped by a hand on her knee. Sighing as she sat back down again crossing her legs, she waited for Leon to speak. "So you're from a different world. Obviously not the one that the others are from, since you act like you've just met them." Natalie's eyes widened and nodded slowly. Man, so the stoic characters really did pay attention to people. Here she was this whole time thinking that they were just asleep or not paying attention this whole time. Yep, her video game philosophy just changed.  

"Nope, I guess you could say that I hitched a ride." Natalie said shrugging it off. She didn't really know what other way to put it without sounding like a crazy person, again. Well you see Leon; you know how they're different worlds. Well, in my world your world and all of the other ones that you know of are actually not real and are in a video game called Kingdom Hearts. Oh, and hey you're a fictional character. Yeah, because that would go over well. He'd probably push her over the cliff. Thinking of that thought, she slowly shifted a few feet away from Leon. Whew! Possible crisis averted.  

"So, they just took you along? I know Sora might act like it sometimes, but he's not an idiot. Trust me when I say I'm not either. So why are you here?" Leon asked her. Oh, god. Not good, repeat terrible. Houston we have a problem, Red lights are blinking. "What do you mean?" she asked laughing nervously. Yep, because that wasn't obvious at all. 

"I mean, why would they trust you enough to take you with them?" Natalie bit her lip in thought. That actually was a pretty good question that she really hadn't' thought about. She was a stranger to them. How the heck were they trusting her so much? Unless they were crazy there was really no reason for them to trust her. Just because the King had said so? Well, the King had been wrong before so what's to say that he wasn't wrong this time. Sure it didn't happen often, but if some strange girl ended up on my beach I would be pushing her back into the water and getting the heck out of dodge, not inviting her into my house and taking her with me on a mission. So what the hell was their malfunction?!
