A not so peaceful day.

I lay there in my bed looking up at the ceiling as my mind tried to wrap around what had happened today. My eyes searched the pale white canvas for anything to take my mind off of the events of the day. I played it over and over in my head and yet it still felt like a dream. I had dreamed of this day and here it is.... It was nothing like I thought it would be.

I remember it so clearly and yet everything was a blur. The bang of pots and pans filled the kitchen as I prepared lunch for everyone. I giggled at Logan who was trying to cut an onion and honestly was failing at it. I grabbed a stack of plates to put on the table when I heard a knock at the door. I began to wonder who it could be since I had all the people I knew in one room.

I began to the door my heels making a soft clicking noise as I neared the large wooden door. Cat laughed at something James had said and I turned to look back at them as I opened the door. When I faced back around I froze, the plates that I held crashed to the floor and all I could do was stare at the figure in front of me.

I had waited for an entire year and then now of all times he had decided to show up. I was so shocked that he was standing there I could not move. How was it possible that I would be trying to move on and he shows up? On top of him just showing up, he had the audacity to yell at me and tell me that I was his!

I closed my eyes and let the darkness consume me hoping for a dreamless night. I was unlucky to get that. There he was sitting in the chair before me. He leaned closer and gave a wicked grin, his eyes burning a bright red.

"You are mine...." His deep voice felt like a bullet to the heart. I was in love with him and there was nothing I could do about it, except fight it.

I awoke before the others, getting dressed and heading down to the kitchen. I decided to put on a white floral print dress and make today a cheerful one. I refused to allow this bump in the road to stop my plans. It was going to be a long few days.... And that it was.

Logan and I had no time to speak to each other due to the battle between myself and Julius, also the fact that Julius wanted Logan nowhere near me. The crazy part is that Logan did not seem to have a problem with that. What was going on?

My house had turned into a mad house and it seemed like there was no end in sight. What on earth was I thinking? Going up against Julius was like going up against God himself. How was I supposed to win this battle?

It had been a week of torturous battles and I was finally done. I just wanted some peace and quiet. It was easy to sneak away from the bickering lot. With my basket and horse, I rode off to find a perfect little picnic spot. There was a beautiful tree that casted a wondrous amount of shade. That was where I decided that I would take my rest and get some peace and quiet.

I sat there under the tree contemplating what it was I should be doing. How was I going to fix this problem? I had given everything to Julius. I pushed for him to be better, broke through that tough exterior shell he placed on himself. All for him to leave me, sending me away like an errant child.

The meetings with the mayor only seemed to get more and more vindictive. Julius pulling out more funding for our town, I was a little set back from that. We did in fact need more funding. I still could not give up or he would become an overbearing ass and gloat as if he actually won. We did need the funding. The Mayor even called me to speak about this. I told him to hold off and wait that we could get the funding we need from my plans. If he was not happy with that we could at least milk Julius for more. He seemed hell bent on making me suffer.

My mind flashed back to that night. When woke from the darkness and found Julius in the shower. I could see his walls crumble as he looked at me. That night I gave myself to him, all of me. The passion that we had shared was everything. How? How did things get this messed up? Now there was Logan who helped me glue myself back together.

My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of hooves clapping against the dirt. I looked up only to see someone heading towards me. So much for a bit of quiet time, was there ever going to be any peace? The sun was too bright to see just who was coming to crash my serenity. I placed my hand over my eyes only to be shocked by who was heading my way.
