The dry air polished your air ducts as you lifted your head.
This wasn't a good day, worse than the usual 'wasn't good' but wasn't as bad as awful just yet.
It was weird, you have never been one to be this disorganized.
And yet it was as if your mind was preparing for the worst-case scenario.
Just to add to that you just had to have rested your shoe against the desk, only to fund a white sticky substance planted against your brand new shoes.
The moment you left the gloomy aura that surrounded your school you couldn't help but hope that the day wouldn't get any worse, hope.
Keyword.
Because the moment you began to walk the clouds begun to ride overhead like a gloomy hollow of what felt like a curse that just floated overhead.
"Great" you muttered beneath your breath as you took out your umbrella "this day can't be any worse".
Well it was, the moment the wind blew the umbrella flipped inside out causing you to drop down your art book into the mud as the wind dragged you with the force of a bull to the side.
And just to your luck as you bent to the side all your books begun falling, making your heart drop.
"Fuck" you gasped as you desperately tried picking up your books one after the other into your bag after shaking them off of the dirty muggy water which you now knelt in.
And just to sprinkle to the mystery a sudden car zoomed past, water from spraying right onto your uniform.
One deep breath and everything will be ok, stay calm you told to yourself as you pulled on the toughest of expressions.
You weren't going to cry, not this time.
You were stronger than that yet no matter what you told yourself the tears begun to trickle down your crimson cheeks as a small forced smile bloomed over your lips.
People just passing by, minding their own business.
Dismissing the state of you and your books.
Man were people heartless, all you could do was close your eyes shut and breathe.
Take one deep breath.
The rain bashed against you creating explosions, small droplets bursting in all directions.
You didn't even realise the moment the rain stopped falling over you, yet your ears quickly adjusted to the sound of the rain tapping.
Muffling the unbearable sound.
You opened your eyes only to feel a thick warm jumper falling over your now soggy hair, as your eyes adjust from the fogginess of your tears you could form a figure beside you.
His hands sinking into the puddle for your books as with his spare hand he held up an umbrella over your head.
He seemed gentle.
It was a young male who looked around your age or maybe even a bit older, although you didn't get a good look you could tell his expression was gentle.
The male placed the bag onto your hand after handing you the umbrella which he held above your head.
You had no words, even if you wanted to by the time a word could leave your lips he was already gone.
Only a figure in the distance.
"Thank you" you whispered under your breath as you pushed yourself to your feet.
You wished you had said something to him earlier, the boy didn't seem to leave your mind.
But by the time you were done your feet sat beside your door, though you tried to dry your books it was pointless.
They were all destroyed.
"Y/N please come downstairs"
By this point you couldn't have had anything to add on to your strand of mystery to make it any worse.
~~sorry im not updating to often but i hope you like this one!!!
