The flight was fairly awkward. Matt wouldn't talk to Al and every time Al tried to say something to Matt, he wouldn't reply leaving Al in a fairly awkward position.
During the flight, I sat in between both of them and listened to music.
We arrived at Ontario's airport and we got off the flight.

"Is your mum waiting for us, Matt?" I asked while we were waiting for our cases to be taken off the plane.

"Yeah. She knows we're here and should be here with the truck."

"Your mom is awesome, Matt. You're so lucky, man."

Matt stayed silent and reached for his case on the moving track and pulled it off. Al went to grab his and I went to grab mine.
Bad idea.
The case got stuck and I ended up being dragged round the treadmill while Matt tried to get the case off and Al panicked and ran to get someone to help.

Eventually with the help of the maintenance team we got my case off and we went through passport control. We walked out into the main entrance of the airport and Matt started looking around.

"Look man, I know your mom means a lot but if you leave your case like last time for me to drag over too, I ..." Al started saying but Matt ran off.

"Swear to god." Al finished and sighed. He grabbed Matt's case and began following him. I looked over and saw Matt hugging a short woman. We walked over and Matt pulled away.

"(Y/n), this is my mom, Macey Williams. Mom, this is Al's exchange, (Y/n)." I held out my hand and we shook hands. She was a short lady compared to Matt. She had the same blonde hair and brown eyes but a different facial structure. You could tell they were related though. She wore beige trousers, a white long sleeve shirt and a red body warmer over the top with a park logo on the from.

"It's lovely to meet you, Mrs Williams."

"It's lovely to meet you too, (Y/n)." She turned to look at Al.

"It's good to see you again, Al. Your mom causing trouble back in Chicago again?"

"Yeah. I don't think I'm going back there again. She insulted (Y/n) and made her cry so I don't want to speak to her."

"That's a good idea. I don't think Chicago is the best place to take your exchanges."

"Yeah. Subtly telling me off. You really are Canadian aren't ya, Mrs Williams?"

"Born and raised. Come on then." Al took my case off me again and dragged two cases out of the airport

"You get annoyed at me every time I leave you with my case but you voluntarily get (Y/n)'s case?" Matt looked overt to Al

"She's more important that you though." Al looked back and smiled.

"You make a brother feel so loved." Matt kept the same bored look on his face.

"I know. I know." We got outside and we walked to a faded red truck in the car park. Mrs Williams opened the trailer and Matt put his case in.

"I call shotgun."

"Well fuck you too, Maple face." Al mumbled and lifted his case into the trailer then mine.

"You're stuck in the back with me, Al."

"Ya know what. I don't think I mind being in the back now." We laughed and got in the car. Mrs Williams got in the drivers seat and Matt got in the front seat.

"I'll give you the tour of the small town first. What do you think, (Y/n)?"

"Sounds good. I've only been to Vancouver before."
