Rain poured down as Belza tried to wave a taxi. It was the wrong day to let her driver have the day off today tonight, but who knew it was gonna rain?
"Can this day get any worse?" She signed. Unfortunately, she spoke to soon. A huge gust of wind caused the rain to change direction towards her as she took shelter under the stone arch of the building. Her shoes and dress pants were soaked to the bone. Belza sighed really loud and stomped her foot.
"Having a bad day ma'am?" She heard someone next to her; looking towards her left side, a man towering over her with a huge umbrella covering over her and him. Belza couldn't make out his face do to the fact that his jacket collar covered some of his face.
"More like taxi problems." She grumbled as she ached to reach for the gun under her coat.
He looked down at her and laughed. Stepping to the curve of the sidewalk, he snapped his fingers and instantly a taxi drove up. "Here you go." He laughed. "You have to be more assertive.
Belza rolled her eyes, but still said a thank you and walked to the door and climbed in. Before she could close the door to lock out the rain and cold, she asked the man his name.
"Perez, Liam Perez. Yours?"
Knowing her status, she did not like to give her name out so easily. "Bella." She smiled and closed the door, looking back through the window, at the tall stranger in the rain.
