Leaves crunched under my feet. It was loud and obnoxious, yet satisfying that they were being converted into more tiny pieces under my heavy boots. The forest floor was covered in the red, orange, and yellow corpse-like leaves. If it wasn't obvious, it was fall. My favorite time of the year. It was always so peaceful and serene. The mountains seen from the rotting cabin seemed to turn ombré with the red and orange of the trees. It was quite beautiful.
Halloween and other holidays would be approaching, though they were never celebrated as what they were meant to be at the mansion. The pastas and proxies were either on missions or celebrated as a small group. I had celebrated with Masky the last two years. Before that I had no one to consider family, then he started being sincere and committed to making me happy. I was beyond happy with that man. He was the world and whole universe to me. I had never thought I would find someone who would love me, but here I am, with the person who makes me happy, and then some.
I focused on my hatchets to ease my blushing state. They were caked in dry blood and other bodily fluids. Small amounts of flesh and hair could be spotted in some areas, and even some brain matter. I was content with my latest kill. I had tied her in some spare rope I had stashed in my backpack and started to slice her head open. Mind you, she was gagged so she couldn't have made a noise besides whimpers and muffled screams. Of course I imagined it as an old friend of mine to make it even more pleasant in my case. I chuckled at the thought of Natalie being the victim. I truly was insane.
My thoughts were cut brief by the rustling of leaves in the distance. My head jerked up slightly at the sudden noise. I had ceased walking and was now taking in my surroundings. Trees, that's all I could see. Damnit I'm lost!
The boss will have my head if I'm not back by sun down. Then again I might lose my head to whatever I heard if I'm not careful. I turned to look around, right about now I wish I had eyes in the back of my head.
Another sound, being more of a low growl, was heard from my right. I turned in the direction of the noise. Nothing. I hoped to god it was just one of Jeff's dumbass tricks again.
"Jeff, this isn't fucking funny!" I yelled.
Please just be Jeff, please. Another noise, but this time it proved my thoughts completely wrong. A demonic growl was echoed through the forest. That could only mean one thing. The rake!
