*Hermione's POV*
I looked down at my watch. "Voldemort's nipple!" I exclaimed. I was supposed to meet Ron in the Great Hall twenty minutes ago! I quickly grab my bag and hurry down the large staircases. When I finally get there, I see Ron sitting at a table looking quite annoyed.
"Bloody hell Hermione, where've you been?!" He was speaking to me sharply.
"I simply lost track of time. I'm only twenty minutes late anyhow. It's not the end of the world."
Ron scoffed at me "Well it's the end of our date! The Hogwarts express left for Hogsmeade 10 minutes ago, so it looks like we're stuck here!"
I was taken aback. Ron and I have always fought and gone for long periods without speaking, but he'd never been this rude to me over something so silly. I wasn't tolerating it. "I'm so sorry I made you miss your precious trip. Next time you'll most surely be on time, because your going alone!"
With that I turned on my heel and stormed out the heavy double doors. I headed straight for the place I go whenever I had a problem. The library. After walking for a few minutes, I arrived at my destination.
I went to my usual table, and much to my horror, there sat Ron. "What are you doing here and how did you get to the library so quickly?" I demanded.
Ron smirked at me. "Apparated. It's bloody useful." He snapped his fingers and apparated to a chair behind me. " We ought to use this when we go see Hagrid. Much simpler then walking all the way to the edge of the forest."
I sigh loudly. "For heavens sake Ronald, if you would read Hogwarts, A History, you would know you can't apparate outside the grounds!"
Ron rolled his eyes. "Who needs to read when we've got you around. And I came here to apologize for yelling at you in the Great Hall. I was just upset. So do you want to go to Diagon Alley? Apparating here made me realize we could go wherever we wanted."
I thought for a moment. I didn't have anything better to do, except for maybe study for the Astronomy quiz in two weeks. "Okay." I latched my arm on to his and felt a tug behind my navel. I closed my eyes. I hated the feeling of apparating. I simply never got used to it.
When I open my eyes, I saw I stood in front of Weasly's Wizard Wheezes. We stepped in to George's shop and looked around the store until we spotted him standing next to a machine I had never seen before.
"Hullo George!" Ron called out. The shop was swarming with customers, as usual. George approached us smiling, but his smile was different then it was a year ago. Ever since Fred's death, he no longer had the familiar mischievous twinkle in his eyes.
"Why if it isn't the lovely couple. You see that contraption over there?" He points to the device he was standing next to when we walked in. "It's our newest addition! The Make Your Own Potion machine. You take a vial and place it under a nozzle. Then you press the button and your potion comes out. I got the idea from a muggle device that was used to dispense powdery candy." He picks up a vial and hands it to me. "Here you go Hermione. Give it a shot." I thank him and head. towards the machine. I hear Ron whining behind me. "Why does she get one and not me! I'm your brother!"
"I swear, he's such a child sometimes." I think to myself. George chuckles, but only half-heartedly. His laugh was among the many things that had been impacted by his brothers death. I turn my head back towards The Make Your Own Potion machine. I look at the list of potions. Felix Felicious. Handy, but not what I needed. Veritaserum. Snape had plenty of that. Poly juice potion. After the incident that happened last time, I don't think I could use that again. Amortentia. I already had a boyfriend, no need for that. Finally I spotted it. Dragons blood. It could cure sickness, and I felt a bad headache forming from all the noise in here. Plus, It could help me get rid of some oven stains. I pressed the button and the red liquid came out. It had a pearly sheen. That's a bit odd. I sip a bit down. As I do, I realize it smells like fresh paper. "Oh no! I must have pressed the button for Amortentia!" I try to spit it out, but I've already drank enough. I feel the potion begin to take op.ver my senses. Someone walk up to me. "So what do ya think?" George asks from behind. I turn around to face him, and immediately feel a sensation. I take in his appearance, his warm brown eyes, his soft, vibrant red hair. His freckles seemed to glow on his ivory coloured face. And his lips, they looked so soft and luscious. I needed to feel them. I stood up on my tiptoes and pressed my mouth against his. It sent shivers down my spine. Sparks erupted like a volcano. It was perfect.
