The argument last night had gone completely different than either Kelly or Devin had anticipated. As they laid in bed neither of them spoke, as Kelly fell asleep she thought about how much she wished they hadn't fought. She wanted him to be happy about the pregnancy, she hadn't thought about what she'd do if he didn't want her anymore.
Devin couldn't sleep. He laid there thinking over the reasons he didn't want to be a father yet, but he couldn't come up with as many reasons as he thought he'd had when he told Kelly he didn't want any of this yet. He finally dozed off when his eyes would no longer stay open.
Kelly awoke in the early hours of the morning being nauseous. She quickly got to the bathroom to be sick. She saw a red light shining through the cracks of the blinds on the window.
The sound of someone yelling caused her to instinctively rush to Devin for protection. He woke up and felt Kelly in his arms. The yelling from the other room continued.
"Charlie!" They recognized the voice as Kate's, one of the people that stayed the night after the party.
Devin stood out of the bed and walked to the door of the bedroom, "Stay here, Kelly." He walked into the living room to see one of the blinds were open and there was a bright red light that seemed to be mesmerizing Charlie. Devin rushed up to him and tried to pull him away from the light but suddenly Charlie disappeared into the mass of red light.
The light was now having the same effect on Devin. As he stared at the light it seemed to take over his body and he moved toward it as if he had no control over his actions. His eyes turned white and glazed over.
Anthony is awoken by the sound of Kate's yells. It takes him longer to arrive because his room is further away, near the back of the apartment.
He came in to see Charlie disappear into a bright red light. He notices Devin walking toward the same light. He runs up to him in a way that he has his back toward the light. He tackles him to the ground.
Devin tries to look around the room but there are spots crowding his vision, they disappear slowly and his sight returns to normal. He sits up, "What happened?"
