Dovewing was bouncing off the trees, ready to go. Flame had gone to the beach to say goodbye, and she was ready for his return. Let’s see, I’ve caught him a mouse and a shrew, and I know where the river is…..WHERE IS HE?!?!  She tried to pass the time by practicing her hunting techniques by pouncing on every stray leaf that happened to flutter down near her. She had just made up her mind to go find him when something shoved her into the grass. She bounced up, ready for a fight, when she saw Flame, rolling in a fit of laughter on the lawn. “Its not funny,” She tried to defend herself, but she was also overcome by laughter. When they finally staggered to their feet, weak with mirth, Dovewing said, “Now look, you’ve wasted our time, you most likely don’t even have time to eat he meal I caught for you…” Flame didn’t hear the rest, he was too intent on his mouse. “I don’t see why we have to hurry, I mean, its not as if we are going anywhere in particular.” “Well, I guess you could look at it that way, but I for one, will go ahead and get were I’m going.” Flame had quite finished his meal by this time, and was ready to get moving. “Well, if you want to get going so much, then why don’t we?” Dovewing smiled at his obstinacy, while she was stressing. She made her curt reply, “ Sure,” Flame laughed his stress-free laugh, and headed away. “Hey mousebrain, that’s the wrong way! If you want to go by the way of the river, which you do, since you might like to have a drink every now and then, you’ll come this way!” She headed off in the opposite direction, followed by a skipping Flame.
