False Paradise

Chapter TWO

I enter the room in which I was told my register class would be in and it was rather full ,about 20 to 30 learners in it.They were all too engaged in their conversations to even notice me.WHEW

A lady with a huge stomach noticed my presence "Hi I'm Mrs Brinx,you must be Katlyn.Welcome to Patrey High",she said with a welcoming smile. "I am your register teacher and also your Maths teacher."she continues.

"Hello",I say back nervously.

"You can sit down at the front next to Ms.Mayison over there."

I looked over to the class and saw a girl with brown blondish hair staring my way.I assume that is the girl refered to as Ms.Mayison since the only open seat available in the front was next to her.

I walk over and put on my fairest smile.

"Hi,I'm Katlyn" I say

"Hello,I'm Irisma Mayison.Just call me Iris",she says

"Sure",I say as I took a seat next to her.

"I've never seen you here before.I'm guessing you're new?" she questions

"Yes." I say

"Great,you're probably going to love it here.Well assuming that you don't hang out with any of the Simpsons."

The Simpsons...Who are they?I decide to not ask

"You can hang out with me though.I'm probably one of the most realistic people in this school."she continues

I just nod

"You don't say much do you?" she asks

"No",I answer....well I do, just in my head

"Okay ,don't worry .It's just the 'new girl' nerves talking.You'll be pouring out words before Mrs.Brinx's baby is born and she's already six months down." She smiles

I smile back too

Oh,so that's why she has a huge stomach.Pregnancy is not a joke!

Mrs.Brinx hands out our time tables and I realise that we have maths as our first class after register,so we stay in for Maths and she informs us of our curriculum for the year and all the important test dates.She then lets us introduce ourselves to the class and tell them about something we love.I just mention something about chess even though it's not true,I just can't stand having everyones' eyes staring at me.

The same thing went for all of my next three classes.Wow,I guess it is just an off day today.So much for waking up so early in the morning.

It is break now and just as I am about to find an open locker, I bump into someone!
Huh.Its a boy.OH NO!

"Oh ...im....so so sorry....I didn't mean to.." I say nervously

I am trailed off by him when he says," Woah,calm down it's okay."

He has brown black hair,taller than me ,has style as he wears tight black jeans and a red shirt.
I finally get the courage to look in his eyes.oh my.He has green-brown eyes. How could those two colours come together so perfectly.
I realize that I might have been staring at him for too long ,like I always do.

"uhm",he clears his throat,"Hi.I'm Robert",he says as he brings out his hand to shake mine.

"I'm ...uh..Katlyn Desia Melmore...you can call me Kate,"he starts looking at me weirdly and hesitantly shake his hand,".. or whatever ... it doesn't matter."
Gosh why am I being so weird.

I start freaking out ,"Okay ...so uhm bye...",I say and start rapidly walking away continuing my journey,leaving Robert to think that I must be the weirdest girl he's ever met.

I looked back at where the near death experience happened and saw how he was still standing there looking back at me with a confused look on his face.But damn,he is super cute!

UGH!Snap out of it!

I walk down the other end of the hall still looking for an empty locker to occupy.

Finally after what seems like forever I find a locker,with the number '926' written on it.

Hah!Thats my birth date,26 Septemeber.Cool!

I quickly pack today's unused books in the locker.Then I head straight to the cafeteria for lunch.
food!!!

The cafeteria is average sized and I find myself looking for an empty table.My search ends tragically as there is no open table.

Maybe I should just go outside.

When I am about to turn around I hear someone calling my name.

"Katlyn!Come here",says Iris

I look over to her table to see that she is sitting with 1 other girl,2 guys and oh gosh,ROBERT!
