I stared at the clock waiting for it to hit 2. It seemed that the more I stared the longer I waited. Detention. Again. For something I didn't even do on purpose. It happened of its own accord. I took a deep breath and looked out the window. The black swirling clouds were blowing the crisp brown and yellow leaves in circles, making them dance along the pavement like puppets on a string. The clouds were swirling faster now, with menacing force. I saw a bright flash and heard the clap of thunder sound right above us, making me flinch and everyone around me stir awake. Another loud bang shook the floor and walls, and we were left in darkness.
