I wake up in a sweat, which surprisingly isn't uncommon anymore, I fall asleep and I have the same damn dream every night, the man in the dream is blurry and un recognisable and it always cuts off when he's about to tell me his name. I'm hardly sleeping at all and everyday feels worse and worse but every morning I get up and get on with the rest of the day whether it be seeing my mother, hanging with Kazz or working at Little Beans.

Today however I'm working so I jump up and have a quick shower to freshen up a bit before heading into the kitchen for a quick snack. I grab some grapes from the fridge and yell out for Kazz.

"Kazz!!"

No reply, that's weird. I go up to her door and knock twice before I hear something that sounded like something between a cough and a sneeze. I poke my head into her room and she looks up at me from beneath her covers.

"Shit Kazz you look dead!" I say

"Thanks, I feel it too" she croaks out before coughing loudly, I mindlessly take a step back.

"I guess I'll have to call Jimmy see if he can get Kara in" I say but spit her name out.

Kazz makes a face and says "Sorry Soph" before her eyes start to droop.

I close the door and grab my phone to call Jimmy.

Kara is someone who Kazz and I hate deeply, shes basically a bitch and someone who we don't get along with but have too for the sake of the café.

I move back to my room as the phone rings and look out the sliding glass doors that overlook the back yard.

"Hello?" Jimmy picks up on the forth ring.

"Hey Jimmy" I say into the receiver

"Oh, hey Soph whats up?" Jimmy says back into the phone.

"Um I was just calling in because Kazz is sick so she can't make it into work" I say.

"Okay Soph, no worries ill call up Kara and see if she can come in" he replies.

"Okay, well I'll see you when I get in" I say

"No worries darlin'" Jimmy says "Bye"

"Bye" I say and hang up the phone. I check the time and I have about an hour and a half before I have to leave for work.

I look out into the back yard again this time though instead of it being empty there was an amazing looking white wolf sitting at the tree line watching me. I absolutely love wolves, I have ever since I can remember wolves have been my ultimate favourite animal so it's not uncommon for me to try and get close to one and it's not uncommon for me to see one although this one is unusually bigger than most wolves I've seen.

Even though I know it's an animal I smile at it and wave, an idea pops into my head as I think what if it's thirsty? and I quickly run to the kitchen and find a big container and fill it with water and rush back to my room being careful not to spill the water.

I set the container down to open the sliding door and pick it back up again, as soon as I step outside the wolf perks its ears up and does a little sniffle before standing on all four and taking a step back.

"No, it's okay buddy I got some water" I say, again remembering that it's an animal but the wolf seemed to calm down a little and take a small step forward.

I sit on the slightly wet ground and cross my legs in front of me before I set the container down and pat the ground next to it looking the wolf right in it eyes. It cautiously steps forward step by step and I can instantly tell that it's a boy even though he has white fur which I just noticed turns silvery in the sunshine.
