The Runaway

Prologue

Felicity 10 years old...

"Daddy! Daddy! I made you this! " I shouted. I made him some eggs and bacon. I made sure it made a face though.

"Not now Felicity. " he said.

"Okay daddy I'll leave it right here for you, because you can't work on an empty stomach. " I said and put it on his desk. "Daddy can I ask you a... " he cut me off.

"I said shut up! " he shouted. He grabbed my arm really hard and he started to pull me. "Can't you see I'm working! Your suppose to be a princess so act like one! " he shouted.

"Daddy stop it, it hurts! " I shouted. He stopped and made me look at him.

"I don't want to eat your garbage! " he shouted and my eyes got teary. Tears ran down my cheeks. And that's when it all happened. When my parents found out about my secret. I've known about them ever since I can remember. I had powers.

"Your a meany! " I shouted and one of my powers sent him flying across the room. My mother came running in to him. He whispered something in her ear and her eyes widened. Everything processed in my head. I didn't mean to hurt him. I ran out of the room and into mine. I closed the door and ran to my bed. Then one of my sisters came in.

"Oh it's you. " she said. "Stop crying you big baby and grown up. " she said. The door opened and I saw my parents.

"Cecilia go outside. " my father said.

"But..." My mother cut her off.

"Do as your father said. " my mother said. She left the room and went outside to go play with my other sisters. "Did you know you were like this? " she asked and I nodded my head. "For how long? " she continued.

"I don't know since I was one or two. " I mumbled.

"So your a freak and we didn't even know it! " he shouted and I cried again.

"Stop being mean to me! " I shouted and my powers hit him again. My mother sang a song to calm me down and I did.

"Do you know how to control them? " she asked and I nodded my head.

"Only a little. " I said.

"We'll find a way but for now it's a secret between us. You can't tell your sisters. We'll have to keep you away from people and your sisters. " he said.

As soon as he said that the 'servants' as my father calls them started moving everything into a different room. I was really lonely. I was an outcast in my family. It was as if sometimes they weren't actually my family. At times I felt as if they really never cared about me.

Felicity age 14...

Hi I'm Felicity and I'm fourteen years old. Right now I'm packing up very quickly. Why? You might ask. Well I'll tell you. I'm sick and tired of being mistreated, of my family calling me a freak, and of being hit.

I was putting in some clothes in the backpack, and a lot of money when my two best friends jumped in. There was Hero and he's my pet dog. Then there was Lulu my pet cat. I took off my fancy princess dress and put on a normal casual one. I threw the tiara on the bed, but Hero got it and went back in the backpack.

I just sighed and nodded my head. I peeked out the door and saw nobody in sight. The coast was clear. I tippy-toed all the way to the front door. I opened the door and looked back. I took a step and one of my feet stepped outside. I walked outside and closed the door slowly. I ran and to a boat and got in. I started to row as fast as I could.

Oh, did I forget to mention that our kingdom is surrounded by water? Well not a lot of people know about it. We want to keep it a secret. There are other kingdoms that are the same. Surrounded by water and also kept a secret. Hero and Lulu both got out of my backpack. And sat in front of me.

I kept rowing with all my might. I wasn't giving up to easily.

Time skips...

The sun started to rise. I've been rowing all night. Hero and Lulu both jumped into my backpack again. I looked around and saw a beach nearby. I quickly rowed to the beach and hid the boat. I walked off the beach and my eyes widened. It was such an amazing sight, but it wasn't at all like my kingdom. I wandered around confused. Then I saw a huge building.

I saw a lot of balcony's. I was really confused. I walked in and went to the front desk. A man came up and looked at me up and down.

"Can I help you? " he asked.

"Well I wondering how much one coin of gold is? And if I had one which room will I get? And how much will it cover? " I asked.

"One coming if gold is worth millions. And it will get you this apartment, follow me. " he said. I followed him and he clicked on a button on the wall. I was really confused. Then it opened and we walked in. He pushed the highest button and up we went. I acted natural and we got there. I felt as if I was going to throw up. I might take the stairs from now on. "It will get you this apartment, but not just any apartment a penthouse. " he said and opened the door. My eyes widened the room was huge and nicely decorated. But my castle was bigger. But not was not the time to think about that. "And it will cover about a year of rent. " he said.

"I'll take it. " I said and gave him a gold coin. He gave me the keys wide eyed.

"How did you get a gold coin? " he asked.

"My father, well thanks. " I said and closed the door. Hero and Lulu came out and I smiled. This was such an amazing place.
