The Runaway

Chapter 2

Days later...

I have been at this school for about a week or two. I've become more closer to Lily. She's my best friend. And I've also become closer to Ryan. Lately every time I'm close to him my heart pounds fast, and I feel like butterfly's are in my stomach. I've never felt like this and I mean never.

I was heading to school and I saw Ryan sitting on a bench alone. I just stood their looking at him. He turned to look at me. He smiled at me and gave me a small wave. I smiled and walked towards him. Ryan has brown hair. It's longer than the other guys hair just by a little. He also has glasses.

"Hi Felicity. " he said.

"Hi Ryan. " I said and we walked to class together. We sat down in our seats and Lily came.

"Hey guys. " she said.

"Hey Lily. " me and Ryan said in fusion.

"Guess what? " she asked.

"I don't know. " I said.

"My cousin is joining this school. " she said with a smile.

"That's good. " I said and Ryan nodded his head. The teacher walked in along with a girl behind her. Lily sat down and everybody else did the same.

"Everybody this is our new student. " she said. "Please introduce yourself. " the teacher said.

"My name is Brittany. It's nice to meet you all..." She said and she continued to talk. I looked at Ryan and I saw him look at her with a glow in his eye. He was more focused on her than anyone or anything else. She sat down and looked at us. Ryan waved at her and she just rolled her eyes.

I was pissed. I looked at Lily and she saw that too.

"She doesn't like guys with glasses or a bit longer hair. " she whispered. I guess Ryan heard because he looked down sadly and started to write on a paper.

Time skips...

It's currently lunch time. I looked at Ryan and it looked like he was struggling a bit. I looked at him with sad eyes. Today was the last day of school before our week vacation. I saw Brittany come towards me and lily. I wasn't sure if she was the reason Ryan was acting up like this. So I just stayed chill. I couldn't let anybody see my powers.

"Good afternoon students. I just wanted to say that you can all leave early today. That is all. " the principal said and everybody left. Ryan quickly shoved everything in his backpack and started to run.

"Bye Ryan. " I said but he didn't say 'bye' back. I felt heartbroken. I looked down and left just like everybody else.

One week later...

I was later today because of an appointment. I am 5% sure I'm getting the hang of this place. I walked in the school and saw girls whispering. I went to my class and saw somebody sitting in Ryan's seat.

"I can't believe that's Ryan. " a girl whispered.

"I know right he's so different now. He has shorter hair and doesn't have any glasses now. He's so dreamy. " another girl whispered. My eyes widened. He looked at me and waved at me. My eyes were filled with hate and they were also teary. I hit the wall and walked out of the room.

More time skips...

I was just getting out of p.e. I stayed a bit after to talk to the teacher. It was our break. I looked up and saw Ryan. He handed Brittany something and she took it with a smile. My eyes got teary. She had a smile on her face and Ryan also had a smile his face heated up a bit. I whipped away my tears. Ryan started to run away as if he was being ordered to do something.

He comes back with a soda can. I couldn't handle it anymore. I left that hall and ran to the locket room. I opened my locker and started to change. I quickly dressed and closed my locker. I went to my original locker and opened it. The picture of me and Ryan smiling together fell out. It was Ryan before he changed. We we're both smiling. I put that picture in my book bag.

The bell rang signaling us to leave. I closed my locker slowly. I walked towards the door slowly. Before I opened the door I looked out and saw Hero along with Coco outside in a really cool car. I out on a fake smile and ran to them. But as soon as I opened the door I saw a crowd of kids crowd them and the car.

I went to them and pushed gently in the car. I tripped on someones shoe and was about to fall. I was waiting to hit the floor but instead I felt myself getting picked up. I looked up and saw Coco.

"Come on now. We just made food and we don't want it to get cold. " Coco said. I dusted myself off I looked towards the school and picked up my book bag. When I looked back up I saw Ryan caring Brittany's backpack. I looked at him sadly and hurried in the car.

'Why doesn't he understand that she's not for him? ' I thought to myself.

"Why that face? " Hero asked getting in the driver seat, and Coco in the passenger seat.

"It's nothing I'm just really hungry and tired. " I said.

"Alright then let's go home so you can eat, take a nap and get your homework done. " Coco said and Hero started to drive.

15 minutes later...

We got home and used the elevator. We got to our apartment and we sat down. I saw some boxes in the living room and I saw them labeled. I was confused. Hero closed the door behind him and we all washed our hands. I sat down and along followed Hero and Coco.

"What's up with all the boxes? " I asked and took a bite from the taco.

"Oh we are moving into a bigger house. So we won't have to pay rent and talk so low all the time. " Hero said.

"For how much? " I asked.

"The only accepted one golden coin. " Coco said.

"The man that gave us this apartment took half a golden coin. " I said and finished eating.

"Well I'm going to go take a quick nap. See you two in a bit. " I said and went to my room. I laid down on my bed and fell asleep. I hated so much how Ryan was for Brittany. Let's just hope the new house has a place people call a 'basement' so I can use my powers to let out all my anger.
