Jesse was excited. He got to have a mission near his home. And one of his best friends was with him. It was time for some fun. And who knew, maybe he would get the courage to tell his friend how he felt.
They went out to this old bar. It was loud and the lights were bright but it had an old sort of band that Jesse liked. Nothing special just some old covers. But they got reasonably smashed and even danced together. Jesse showed Genji some moves from the old country dances. The two had an amazing time. Some of the people stared but it was all okay. Even when Jesse just kissed Genji right in the middle of the dance floor.
They didn't drink much. They didn't need to. They enjoyed each other too much and were very loose already. It was almost like a date. And years later when they would be asked how they got together they would laugh at their first date and how one city boy learned how to square dance.
