Amara had grown fond of her room and tended to stay in there. If you were looking for her, she was most likely in there.

The door opened as Amara scrolled through the internet. She shut her laptop close and turned to see Zach standing at the door. "Hey, Amara?" He questioned. She smiled and nodded before standing up.

"I need some help and I was wondering if you could help me?" He asked, rubbing the back his neck. "Sure." She said as she sat on her bed. "Really?" His face lit up. You could tell he sat their debating on whether she'd say yes or no.

She nodded. Zach came in and sat down next to Amara. "So, I like this girl at our school." He started. Amara hadn't started going yet, she started tomorrow. "Mhm." She urged his to go on.

"And I was wondering what I should do to catch her attention?" He mumbled, luckily it was loud enough for Amara to hear. She smiled at this.

Zach was a sophomore, meaning this was only his second year of high school. Amara was in her junior year, while Jack, And Corbyn were Seniors. Daniel and Jonah graduated last year. (I'm going by their birthdays!)

"Just say hi and be yourself." Amara explained as if it was that simply. "But what if she doesn't like me at first?" He asked. "Then she's not worth your time Zach."

"Guys! Zach likes a girl!" They both heard from outside of Amara's room. They both heard running down the hallway as the door slightly opened to reveal the boys. "Who's the lucky gal, Zach?" Jack teased.

"It's none of your business, now leave." Amara said sternly. Jack gave her a dirty look before they all turned and left.

"Thanks, Amara." Zach said as he rubbed the back of his neck. She only smiled. "It's nice that you came to me instead of Corbyn." She pointed out.

Zach shrugged his shoulders. "He's in a long distance relationship." He explained. "Oh." She responded, understanding more on why he came to her instead.

"But thank you so much!" He said as he grabbed one of her hands. She smiled as he let go and walked out of the room.

    Boy, was he different.
