"Why so dark, Jiminie?" Taehyung asked holding Jimin's hand gently as he inspected the darkly coated nails. Jimin thought back to last night and a wave of emotions washed over him. Disappointment, dread, frustration, pain.
"He saw." Taehyung's eyes widened quickly, but just as fast they drooped in pity. His long arms quickly pulled Jimin in for a hug, bringing Jimin's body close to his own. Jimin, uncomfortable with the twisted position he was in, clambered onto Taehyung's lap with his face buried in Taehyung's neck and his arms loosely wrapped around Taehyung's neck. Jimin's breathing was shaky with the threat of tears. Taehyung rocked gently, side to side, as he held onto Jimin.
"Did he hit you again?" Jimin's breathing stuttered before a muffled whisper of yes made its way out of his bitten raw lips. Jimin attempted to snuggle deeper into Taehyung but found that he couldn't get closer. Taehyung took a deep breath trying to reign in his anger. "Did you do what I think you did?" Jimin let out a soft giggle.
"That's a little ambiguous, innit Taetae?"
"Jimin." Taehyung said sharply.
"I'm sorry." And that was all Taehyung needed to hear. It was a bad habit Jimin had fallen into– cutting himself. Since he started, Jimin has had trouble stopping.
"Tonight we're getting together with the guys and having a sleepover. Mom took up the night shift at the hospital so it'll just be us." Taehyung said rubbing Jimin's back. "Okay?" Jimin nodded slightly.
"Okay."
"Good. Now let's go buy you some goodies-"
"Tae! No-"
"I'm sorry. Chim, did you say something?" A pout settled on the shorter boys face. Jimin let out a small hmph as he stood up from straddling Taehyung's lap and help out his hand towards Taehyung.
"Let's go, sugar daddy." Taehyung smiled widely and grasped Jimin's smaller hand in his own as he pushed himself up.
"Lead the way, baby boy."

Jimin stared at the various colors of nail varnish in his hand before letting out a vexed sigh. He really liked them all but he didn't want Taehyung to spend more than he was already going to be spending. Suddenly a large tan hand belonging to the one and only Kim Taehyung grabbed at all of the soft colored hues of nail polish in Jimin's struggling grip.
"Why do you look so constipated? Just put them in the basket already." Jimin mouthed like a goldfish before being able to finally speak up.
"First of all, I'm not constipated." Taehyung mumbled a "is that so?" as his eyes scanned over various shades of lipsticks and lipglosses.
"Secondly, I just don't want you spending a bunch of money on me, Tae." Taehyung scoffed before reaching out and grabbing a dusty rose colored lipstick, and a color called pussycat.
"Jimin, if you complain about money one more time I'm going to buy you shit everyday. Now, I think these colors would suit you very well so we're gonna get it."
"What if I don't want want to wear lipstick?" Taehyung shot a look of disbelief towards Jimin and reached out quickly, smearing his thumb across Jimin's bottom lip. When he pulled his hand back he looked at his thumb only to see a light red tint smeared across it's width. Taehyung gave Jimin a look that said "really? You don't want the lipstick?" and proceeded to toss the lipsticks in their basket.
"You don't have to hide yourself, Jiminie. Explore yourself. I'll still love you. The guys will still love you." Jimin walked closer to Taehyung and gave him a tight hug and a light and lingering kiss on his neck.
"Thanks, Taetae. Love you too." As Jimin pulled away he grabbed Taehyung's hand, and pulled him over to the eye makeup section. "Since you insisted ever-so-nicely, I suppose exploring a little won't hurt me."
"That's the spirit, champ."
"Don't call me that."
"Got it, Jiji."
"Taehyung."
"Righto, Minnie."
