Mr. Harrison lay on his bed and sighed. He had just come back from another supposed 'business trips'.
For three years, he had been traveling to Nigeria every six months. His people at work thought that they were business trips.
But only his best friend Axel and his house keeper Prudencia knew that he was going to look for a girl he had left six years ago.
He had searched for her in school, but heard that she had graduated, he searched her house, but heard that he moved.
He even asked her two best friends, but they were 'tight lipped'.
Just to see her and say 'sorry'would be ok, but he knew he need her in his life.He wondered if she would ever forgive him but he had to try.
He picked up a framed picture of her from his bed-side table and gazed at it.
She was wearing a sundress and the wind was blowing her jet black hair wildly as she grinned looking into the camera with her piercing black eyes.
He wondered if she had moved on, if she was engaged or worse married. He remembered the day he left her.
He could still hear her cries a good mile away from the house. Those screams still haunted him in his dreams.
Not a dat passed without him missing her. Not a day passed without him regretting what he did.
He had left for the States immediately his mother called and told him that she was dying and that she had had him transferred to the university of Texas.
She didn't give him much time, so he only had enough time to inform his girlfriend.
When he reached Texas, he found out that true to her words his mother was in a sorry state.
Being a drunk and a drug addict, she had a severe case of lung cancer. She looked seventy instead of fifty. And she didn't have much time to live.
He didn't blame her much, her marriage with his dad was an arranged marriage between two business empires.
She never loved his father, and he on the other hand had been cheating her countless times and she knew about all of them.
She was heartbroken so she took solace in alcohol and drugs.
After her burial, he found out that the family business was in a mess. It had taken him three years to bring the business empire Back on it's feet.
"Natalie." He sighed, stroking the picture. "Where are you? Please come back to me."
"Alessio." Prudencia called gently walking into his room.(She always called him that.)
"Hey Prudencia." Ethan greeted sitting up.
"Did you find her?" She asked sitting beside him.
He shook his head sadly and sighed.
"No.""Don't worry son, you'll find her." She soothed.
"What if I don't?"
"You'll find her Alessio, my heart tells me so."
