Hello readers! This is basically the first story that I am actually going to stick with. I will try improving on my writing as I continue but, who knows? If you have any questions or you see something that I could change to make my writing better then please feel free to tell me. Thank you and enjoy!
October 31, 2000.
Misty had just given birth to a beautiful baby girl she named Silver. The nurses took Silver and cleaned her up right before they gave her back to the mother to hold. As soon as she got in contact with her baby, an electric shock was jolted from Silver throughout her mother. Misty groaned and gripped at her chest in pain. Seeing this, her husband Sam took hold of the baby while the doctors rushed into the room. That night, Misty passed away without a chance to fully hold her newborn. Sam was so angry and sad at what had happened that he felt incapable of taking care of his daughter alone. He looked at the baby before rushing down the street with her in his arms to a shabby looking fenced in house with the sign 'Orphanage' on top. He cried to himself as he wrapped Silver up tightly, placing her gently in front of the gate with a silver ring he laid on her chest. A small kiss left his lips on the newborns cheek before he rang the entrance box and bolted.
A couple minutes passed before a woman with gorgeously long shiny auburn hair walks outside. She looked left then right and saw nothing until she looked down. There Silver laid. The lady picked the baby up, "Don't worry, I'll take good care of you here." Taking a quick look to both her left and right before turning to head back inside. "I think I'll call you Danny", she said as she held the baby in her arms rocking her side to side.
17 years later
*REEEE REEEE REEEE* alarm blares. My eyes start fluttering awake as I lean over trying to find the alarm. Feeling around before grabbing it and slamming it straight on to the ground, breaking it instantly. Loud foot steps start coming from the hallway as Trisha comes hastily into the room in a panic, "Are you okay Danny?! I heard a loud noise!" Soon Tag and Stacy come to the door wondering the same thing.
"I'm fine. Accidentally broke my alarm though." I say laughing it off with closed eyes. Tag starts jumping on my bed. "You should wake up, you know what day it is?"
"I know, I know. It's my birthday." a tired voice escapes my lips. Tag picks me up bridal style and starts jumping around swinging me side to side. We both start balling with laughter before he steps off my bed, sets me down, and gives me a big squeeze. Trisha comes over to us with Stacy as they each give me a card and a box, each of a different size. With smiles on everyone's faces, I back away from Tag and sit on the bed opening each gift viciously.
In Trisha's boxes was $150, some charcoal pencils, and a new sketchbook. Stacy's boxes had an MP3 player and a black motorcycle helmet with a red lion on the left side. "Thanks guys. I love all of the presents." I say with a slight smile. "Hey Stacy, what with the helmet?"
"I helped out with Tags' present." She responds. "Tags'?" I turn and look at Tag as he blindfolds me walking me down the stairs towards the door. He removes the blindfold and I'm surprised to see a solid black Suzuki GRX motorcycle with a faint red stripe on the sides.
I turn to Tag again to thank him and he throws me the keys. I catch them as I run to him giving him a big hug and kiss on the cheek. "Thank you!" I squeal in excitement. Running back in the house to my room to get ready, I straighten my long black hair, and throw on a black crop top, white shredded skinny jeans, a leather jacket, and my beanie with my black bikini underneath my clothes.
Before I go out the door I slip on a pair of black converse, put in green contacts and grab my new keys. Tag's already waiting for me at my bike. "Ready?" He says. I nod my head as we both get on and head for a quarry.
By the time we arrive Jessica and Bryan are already there. They start running towards me giving me hugs shouting "Happy birthday!" We're all laughing and smiling as we start wondering through the woods towards a big quarry surrounded by nothing but trees and rocks. A definite teenage hotspot if they even knew this place existed. Fortunately for us, my group of friends are the only ones who know about this place, due to me stumbling upon it one day looking for new inspiration I was drawing.
We start heading to the top of the rocks. Piece by piece we remove our clothes until we are only in our swimwear. Tag runs up behind Jessica, picks her up, and jumps 25ft down into the quarry. She starts screaming on the way down with him shouting "Woooohooo!"
Bryan jumps in right after them so he doesn't miss out on the fun. At the bottom Bryan and Tag start attacking Jessica with splashes. She tries to splash them back but can't see through all the water. "Help! Danny! Help me!" She screams.
"Be right down!" I shout while backing up a couple steps. "Move out of the center! I'm coming down!" I yell. Tag and Bryan stop splashing Jessica and move towards the sides of the cliff giving me room.
"Clear!" Bryan shouts back at me. As I'm running, I push off from the rocks towards the air doing a flip before diving straight down.
I immediately swim to the surface and am instantly smothered with my friends amazement and shock. "Damn Danny! I didn't know you could do something like that." Jessica says.
"You know, it's just the perks of the many athletics Trisha made me take when I was a kid to now." I say hesitantly trying to keep myself afloat. We swim for a good 15 minutes but with all of the screaming and laughing, it has drawn someone near.
Everyone is still laughing and splashing each other but I stop and slowly turn around to a twig snapping...
