I would gaze out my window
Day after day
Wondering
When my prince charming
Would take me away.
I would dream of glass slippers
And beautiful gowns
I would dream of my own fairy godmother
And my sparkly silver crown.
I would dream of dancing the night away
With my own handsome prince
Hoping
At the end
We would share our first kiss.
I never thought
That a fairy tale like this could come true
Until the day that I met you.
When you look at me
And I stare into your big blue eyes
I feel like all around us
Happiness flies.
Every minute
That I spend with you
I feel like I'm dancing at the ball
All safe in your arms
Like you'll never let me fall.
And when I look down
I see my shiny glass slippers
And beautiful gown
And my fairy godmother
Flying all around.
And I see
That up upon my head
I'm wearing my sparkly silver crown.
The time that we're together
I feel like I'm dancing with my own handsome prince
Hoping
At the end
We'll share our first kiss.
But as the clock strikes midnight
And I start to run away
And as you run after me
Shouting "No, No, Please Stay!!"
I just keep on running forward
Like it never even happened
But hoping that we can be together
some other way.
But as I turn
All these pages
To the very
final chapter
I just hope
That it's you and me
Who lives
Happily Ever After.
