Stuck In The Middle

I yawn a roll over in a twirl of my duvet cover. I peek my eyes over the side of the blanket to see my large room fill with light, as it spills in ray through the cracks in the blinds. I guess it's morning, ey? I think to myself and extend my arms and legs, stretching. I yawn once more, swinging my legs over the side of the bed and shiver when my bare feet touch the cold floor. I shimmy out of the blanket I was tangled up in and see it's practically winter in my house. I shiver and quickly slip on one of my Jack Wills sweatshirts and some slipper socks and slip out of my room into the hallway.

I tiptoe down the wood floor, careful not to wake one of my room mates, and over to the thermoce stat. No wonder! The heat isn't on and it's in the middle of winter, for gods sake. I wuickly flip it on and hear the air start flowing through the air vents.

I shake my head, Lizzie probably did it! For some reason that girl just liked it cold. All the time. Everyday. I let out a sigh and trot down the metal spiral stair case and into the living room.

Looks like no ones up yet. Good, I ques I'll just make breakfeast than. I wlak over to the brownish-red tiled floor to the large, stain-less steel, refridgerator. Trust me, with 4 girls in one house, you need a lot of food, escpecially with me in general. I swing one of the doors open on the 2 door fridge and look inside for the eggs, milk, and butter.

Soon enough I spot all the things I was looking for and pull them all out and place them on the black granet top island in the middle of the kitchen. Next I walk over to one of the many wood cabnets and open it, pulling out a black cooking pan. I bring it back to the island, that also fosters the stove and place it on one of the stove places. I put some butter on the pan and turn on the stove and watch it melt as I slide it across the pan. Soon after, I crack a few eggs into the pan and begin making scrambled eggs.

While the eggs are 'scrambling', seeing that I do not like eggs, I walk over to another one of our many cabnets and open it, pulling out my favorite cereal, lucky charms.

I walk back to the island and set the cereal down and check on the eggs. After the eggs are finished I turn off the stove and walk to the sink and pull a bowl out of the clean rack of dishes and walk over to the island and pouring my cereal in it, putting a spoon in the bowl and pulling it out with a spoon full of cereal and plop it into my mouth.

Upstairs I hear a door open and close and soon I hear the shower turn on. Probably Grace. Soon after footsteps come down the stairs and a dark haired beauty comes into the kitchen, rubbing her blue eyes.

"Hey Danny, good morning!" I say smiling brightly at her, she simply waves her hand, not saying anything. Danny really isn't a morning person, on the other hand, neither am I. I have no idea why I woke up so early this morning. Probably because it was close to snowing in our house! But that's besides the point. Danny has really long dark brown hair that falls in suttle waves and reach the small of her back and icy blue eyes. And pretty tan skin from doing beach volleyball in California, when she used to live there. She's the only American out of all of us.

"I made food," I say in a sing-song voice, raising an eyebrow at her weiry figure.

Her head snaps up with wide eyes. "Food!? Where?!" She asks excitedly, her blue eyes light up.

I point to the pan of eggs and she grabs a plate, piling eggs onto it. I roll my eyes, and continue to eat my cereal.

"Is Lizzie up yet?" Danny asks. I shrug, crewing on the crunchy cereal and soft marshmellows.

Danny shakes her head and rolls her eyes. "Your so... responsible," She says sarcasticly laughing.

"Hey! I made eggs!" I say, narrowing my eyes and pointing my spoon of at her.

"And it's your biggest accomplishment yet!" She says and dashes out of the room before I could throw my spoon at her. Yet, she's somewhat right. Hmm.

I hear Danny's feet stomp up the stairs and a few moments later I hear yelling and a few thumps, before Danny comes in pulling Lizzie behind her by her hair.

"Ow, ow, ow! What the hell Danny!!" She scream swatting at her. I chuckle in amusment as Danny lets go of her hair and Maddy dives to attack her.

"Elizabeth! Danielle! Stop it right now! Marie?! Why aren't you doing anything!?" Grace yells at us from the door of the kitchen. Almost instantly Danny and Lizzie let go of each other and face her innocently. I shrug and walk over to the sink with my bowl and spoon.

"I swear, Marie, you are the most irrisponsible person I know," Grace says, crossing her arms and looking at me. Grace is the boss around here. She's not always like this, but in a house of 4 girls... well, you kinda have to have someone who keeps us in line. That's where Grace comes in.

I turn around and lean against the counter of the kitchen. I look at Graces tall figure. Grace is 100% beauty and glory. She has long light blonde hair, not beach blonde, but not a sandy blonde, just inbetween. She also has pure, crystal blue eyes, not dark or almost white, but not blue, like a lighter tint of blue. She also has fair, and blemish free skin. She's wearing spandex shorts and a loose purple tank top, for which she had worn to bed.

"Sowwy, Gwace! Will you evvvvvaaaaa forgive me??" I say in a baby voice, giving her puppy eyes, which I know she can't resist.

She lets out a loud, annoyed grunt. "Yess, I forgive you, now cut the puppy dog eyes before I slap you."

"Oooh, touchy. Anyways I made eggs!" I exclaim, jumping up like in those cheesy kid cartoons, kinda like a cheerleader or something.

"You? Cook? And how are we still alive!?" Lizzie exclaims, her jaw dropping as she stares at me. I chuckle, haha, she knows me too well.

Lizzie, aka Elizabeth Rose Kawa, aka my best friend. Lizzie has brown, chocolate looking eyes, that just melt with that glint of mischeviousness that they always seem to give off. She also has mid-back dark brown hair, that tends to change from wavy to curly. She also wear black rimmed glasses. She has fairish-tanish skin. We've known each other since primary school.

"Haha, your sooo funny," I say sarcastically, rolling my eyes. Lizzie smirks and chuckles.

"GUISE GUESS WHAT!!!" Danny exclaims. We all look over at her and see her scrolling through her phone.

"What now, Danny?" I ask, looking at her with a bored face. She probably going to annonce something about how her favorite pair of shoes are finally selling two towns away from us and we need to go now.

      "One Direction is in Birimingham!"
