Their weekend vacation in Los Angeles was coming to an end, so Taehyung invited everyone for a last night dinner before their trip to the airport the next morning.

Taehyung recommended a fancy place in Los Angeles that he thought everyone would enjoy. The boys were dressed up nice for the occasion thanks to a little shopping with Hoseok earlier in the day. Although Jungkook resented Hoseok spending time with Jay and Taemin, he really liked the new outfits. Jungkook, however, didn't pack anything special with him, so Taehyung was more than happy with lending Jungkook something out of his wardrobe. Things became awkward between Jungkook and Taehyung ever since the studio, but Taehyung tried to act like everything was the same. The group was sitting at a round table all together, along with Hoseok, who Taehyung invited. 

"This is really nice guys, I'm really glad we could all be together," Hoseok said with a smile. Everyone was already dining on their food and savoring every bite. Jay didn't have the slightest clue on how to eat properly and Taemin received help from Taehyung on cutting his steak. As always, Jungkook was impressed by Jihun's manners. 

"The food here is great. I guess being rich has its perks," Jay added.

"Dude, you have steak sauce on your face," Jihun shook his head in disbelief. 

"Can't help that I didn't have daddy over there cutting my steak and wiping my face for me," Jay replied with sass.

"Guys, let's not make a fuss. Just be glad we're all here together," Taehyung said, moving the plate back to Taemin to eat.

"Thank you papa," Taemin said to Taehyung. 

"You're welcome, buddy." Taehyung sent Taemin a smile. Taehyung turned his attention to Jungkook. "You're being awfully quiet."

"No, I'm just enjoying the food." Jungkook shook his head and took another bite of his meal.

"Some people just like to eat in peace. I get that, but I can't help to talk around the dinner table. There's always so much to talk about," Hoseok said to Jungkook.

"Too bad it'll be a while until we get to be together again," Jihun added. 

"Well, I disagree there. It'll just be for a little bit and then the family will all be together again before Taehyung goes back on tour next year," Hoseok replied.

"It's nice you feel that way Hoseok, but you're not exactly apart of this family," Jungkook said out of the blue. 

Everyone got quiet and everyone set their eyes at Jungkook, who didn't realize or didn't care about the full extent of what he said. 

"Well, I'm apart of Taehyung's family, so I guess there's no getting rid of me. Look's like you're all stuck with my crazy self," Hoseok said with a laugh, trying to break the awkward tension and subtlety hide his anger with Jungkook's snaky comment.

"Um, how about a toast," Taehyung quickly added, trying to change topic. He proceeded by picking up his glass of wine. Everyone quickly followed his lead and raised their glasses. "I just want to say how fortunate I am to get to have everyone here this evening and that things are working in our favor. I hope we all continue to be together no matter what happens in life. To family."

"To family," everyone replied and drank their glasses. 

"You know the fun doesn't have to end tonight," Hoseok said, looking at everyone. Hoseok turned his attention to Jungkook. "We could always come back with you guys once Taehyung wraps some things at work. I could finally get a chance to see that house of yours Jungkook."
